Another wonderful tale of parental protection, The Mist puts forth the question, "What would you do if you and your son were trapped in a supermarket which was surrounded by a mysterious mist filled with unimaginable monsters, and your stuck with a bunch of religious nut jobs who want to kill your son as a sacrifice to the Angry God that sent this plague?" (really, who amongst us doesn't stay up at night asking themselves this question?)
So this Father's Day, if you have already seen Commando a billion a half times, then check out Frank Darabont's Stephen King's The Mist, in which the very under rated Thomas Jane (Stander! Get with it!) plays artist David Drayton, who finds himself trapped in a large store with his son Billy, played by Nathan Gamble (The Dark Knight's James Gordon Jr.). A strange mist suddenly comes out of nowhere and shrouds the store, and some comes running into the store yelling about things in the mist.
