What’s your take on evangelical leaders exporting their beliefs to other countries, as seen in last night's "Missionaries of Hate"?

I myself am a Christian, however the Anti-Gay bill is sickening. It is a sign of intolerance, pride, and bigotry. I watched Missionaries of hate and it was surprising how much influence one near-Psychotic man. I think, they themselves need to see a separate side to the issue and make there own choice. Plus, The death Penalty is MUCH to extreme.
Back to the issue though, I think exporting our ideas, even if stupid, Help increase our international power.

I truly hate how arrogant religious people are. They hide behind their believe, they think they could judge and impose their crazy nuts agenda in other people. Who gives anybody the power to go to another country and disrespect their believe and culture. How dare those insecure people to try to convince others to believe in make up stories and fables, you know, snake talking, dinosaur walking with humans, etc... When we all start to understand that our rights end when the other human begins, that will be the moment of peace and diversity in the world... Religious people should mind their own business:O

The strategy of gaining power through the attempt of destroying a minority group is nothing more than sadistic and eventually will lead to tyranny. This is a solely a political movement shrouded in religious pretenses.

They are doing a terrible dis-service to religion in general. If given a choice, I would choose "Missionaries of Peace". If they actually practiced what they used to preach, they 'would be' "Missionaries of Peace".
I think it is sad, somewhere they lost their way. IMHO, if they were actually listening to God, he's telling them to 'stop it'.
Thank God, my faith does not lie in the hands of man.

Africa is still in the condition it is in primarily because of evangelicals who try to replace the real education of people with further superstition. This in hand with dictatorships which strain people's capacity to evolve themselves to more technological and suitable living conditions makes for utter chaos and a miserable existence in life.
I detest evangelicals. Their efforts already strain the sight for common sense here in the US, but in a continent like Africa which has difficulties from post colonialism and corrupt governments, the situation if far worse.

Its just plain ignorance and another form of imperialism that is being imported to the African continent.

The Ugandan minister's obsession with 'poo poo' is comical, but deadly. What would Freud say...Hmmm. I do agree with him that there are home grown demagogues and intolerances in any country and they need not import that from the USA. The US Evangelists did provide them a convenient story line and moral backing to kick start the current campaign though. One question I keep waiting for our erstwhile reporter to ask was, "How many gays have approached you or your children to try to convert them?" One of the student did volunteered that they haven't met any gays yet. A reality check should reveal that there is no imminent danger from the local gay community.

That just just proves that humanity, isn't aging right. We shouldn't be discriminicating against any human just because they are different characteristically. The world needs to wake up and stop all this bullshit, history is written everyday for our future generations, why would we want them to read about hate and what savages we were, killing gay people. it ain't world war 2 nor is it the ancient era, this 2010.

Religion is unsustainable. It's bigger than an individual choice, it's systemic repression, and that's why it's got to go.

My take is the same as it would be if individuals or groups were distributing misinformation within the United States - a passionate, widespread and free distribution of better information. If this isn't a struggle for territory or resource or manpower but rather a struggle to win the minds of others, it is to their minds any response to these evangelists must be directed.
