Do you care about The Royal Wedding?
We already know how "infoMania's" Ben Hoffman feels about The Royal Wedding (short version: "f--- Prince William, f--- Kate Middlestone (sic), and f--- anybody who thinks this is news").
The big day is Friday. Are you looking forward to The Royal Wedding? Do you care?

I didn't give a flip about that wedding, and I couldn't care less about the couple.
The wedding just shows you how much they care about the people of Britain. Their economy is on sinking sand, yet they have a lavish gala? Sounds about like the American format though. - 11 months ago

Yes I care about it. I also care about whats happening in the Middle East, the climate, the budget crisis, the attack on unions, etc... If you dont care about the royal wedding then dont read articles about it. Afterall tv news is horrible so you shouldnt be watching that anyways. And janforGore no we did not fight the revolution to not deal with the elitists. It was elites that pushed for the revolution afterall.
Ive read a bunch of the comments on here and a lot of yous are truly ignorant about the brit royal family. Im completely against royalty also, no person should be born and placed on a higher stool than another because of their bloodline. But it happens in America too, its called Vanderbilts, Rockefellers, half our government. To say that the royal family has never done anything for anyone, to say that they have never witnessed hardship, to say that they just gobble up the taxpayers money is a slap in the face to them and a showing of true ignorance.
Yes the mass media often ignores whats important and focuses on shit like bacon cologne (CNN was talking about it during the powershift protest of 10,000 students in DC apparently). But sometimes they are covering stuff people really do want to see! If you dont want to then dont watch it and dont read about it! I've barely noticed it because I dont watch CNN, Fox, etc... Ive been paying attention to other news. But I will be watching the ceremony which will only encompass a couple hours of my week because I love ceremonies and thought Will uses to be hot as shit (poor hair genes suck). It'll make me happy.

the brits arent actually spending much tax money at all on this wedding. Also, the amount of money from tourism related to this wedding eclipses the would-be-cost if it was mainly paid for by taxes.

I can't give in and 'drink the koolaide'. Or believe in the Empress' new clothes. Although I'd rather hear about a wedding than an endless war, rising civil unrest or natural disaster, I just don't care. I'm happy for them because it's a wedding and not a divorce but if they refer to that young woman again as a "commoner" I'm gonna lose it!
What's 'common' is a man who cheats on his wife in front of his children. Drives his wife to divorce and after her untimely death, takes his concubine into his home, Yet he can still be in line for the throne. Does it get any more common than that? Really?
Mazel Tov to the newly weds to be but shut up about it already. It's not 'news'. 'News' is information that is brought to the forefront in order to bring about positive change in the World. Period, the end!

These weddings are very important to Mothers of Brides everywhere. When I was a wedding photographer I was always exasperated by the preconceived visions of bride's mothers who would bring pictures of Charles and Di's wedding from Nation Geographic or Life Magazine and say, "Now, this is EXACTLY what we want!" Of course, they then held the wedding in some storefront chapel with folding chairs and a Turquoise tux and dresses from Penny's. For some reason they were never satisfied with the pictures of their fat daughter and her new husband with the Elvis hair do.

Its a very small cost. In fact the amount of tourism from this event will eclipse any cost from the government. Most of the money is actually being spent by London for security, street parties, etc... and they are most definitely benefiting from the wedding.

I am not really non partial to it. I am think it's great and all.. Cate is graceful she reminds me of Princess Diana in the graceful sense. But if she is being compared to Princess Diana, Cate has a lot of shoes to fill Princess Diana was more than a Princess she was a humanitarian and cared about matters beyond the UK and herself. In some aspects the wedding it is being overly publicized...with all of the things going on in the world right now...people are suffering and probably could care less...just saying..

Embarrassing really, the flaunting of so much, when so many in the world are struggling. Instead of a big show, maybe they could have funded some housing in Japan. And didn't the Royals get all that money off the backs of peasants in the first place.
