Is it better to be a team player or focused on your own success?
In tonight's new episode of "4th and Forever," Jeremiah Hollowell learns he must switch positions from running back to defensive end. Meanwhile, he is struggling to juggle football, school, and supporting his son.
Like many of his teammates, Jeremiah wants to attract the attention of scouts and is worried about how this change might affect his opportunities down the line. Will he choose to embrace his new role?
In a team setting, is it better to focus on the success of the group or your own? How do you decide?
Tune in Thursday at 9/8c to see whether the Jackrabbits can rise above the competition on an all-new episode of "4th and Forever" on Current TV. For more information, visit http://current.com/4thandforever.

Anyone that thinks we are wired to 'go it alone', needs to open a book. We, as a species, learned a long time ago that 'strength in numbers' equates to survival. Granted, many of us have succumb to our Natural weakness, but those few 'strong' who have preyed on the many 'weak', do not speak to the true order of things. Unlike animals, we have the ability of choice. The human species has only one true purpose, like all other life, and that is to survive. Anything else we do that is not toward that end, is merely a distraction and not necessary.

It's human nature to be self- centered. Although, having a strong sense of communal identity I think can help promote a more peaceful lifestyle because our differences then can become much more trivial. I think the problem with a lot of us is we want to see ourselves as different. Which in many cases we are, but if you think about it. At The end of the day we all just want the same thing, and that's to be happy. Regardless of the adversities we may have all gone through everyone can vouch for having dealt with an array of struggles. What varies is perception.

IN a CONSENTUAL,....VOLUNTARY,...."team setting",.....it is simply your damn DUTY to focus on the team.
In the case of a NON voluntary "team",....like a drafted army,....fuck "the team", unless their aims and methods are compatible with your own.
Live up to the terms of your contract, if it is not coerced.
