How important is money to your quality of life?

In tonight's new episode of "4th and Forever" called "They're Rich and We're Not," Coach Raul Lara is concerned about Poly's upcoming game against the affluent and powerful Mission Viejo.

Lara is aware of how class differences impact his team's quality of life. Will Mission Viejo defeat Poly because they are a wealthier school, or is that not a relevant factor?

How important is money to your quality of life?

Tune in Thursday at 9/8c to see whether the Jackrabbits can rise above the competition on an all-new episode of "4th and Forever" on Current TV. For more information, visit http://current.com/4thandforever.

    • We have been taught all of our lives that money is the root of all evil. People, that is propaganda!!Money is not evil. Money is like water, it has to flow. It is life blood. Now, what you do to get money can be evil, but my point is we need money, because we need to have the ability to get the necessary things that sustain our individual lives. Ask someone who cant pay for groceries or rent how can they be helped? They need money!!! The less financial worries you have plays a big part on your life if you are not of money. Rich people have rich people problems, like how to keep all their money-IRS, and poor people have poor people problems, how to get more money. Quality of life comes in when its what you are doing to obtain your money goals.

    • Quality of life comes from a combination of state of health and state of mind. Money worries detract from innate happiness, so of course a chronic lack of sufficient money to meet basic needs can detract from quality of life, but in the final analysis, health is the only wealth. If you can achieve health, and learn to not covet material possessions that you cannot afford, and lastly, conform your standard of living to within your means, then your psychic energies can better focus on what really matters in life: building quality relationships, generating love in your life, helping friends and neighbors, and making the most of your time on earth. THAT is quality of life in a nut shell, and it has nothing to do with money at all.

    • I'm the anti-Trump. I I had money, I'd probably give it away to those in need or invest in things that would benefit others. Right now, if I were a billionaire, I'd buy out the New York City Opera management and return it to its rightful place as a world class company performing at Lincoln Center, not a operatic dinner theatre.

    • I wish money weren't so important to quality of life, but when you're housing and food insecure, it's a very big deal. Money represents freedom: freedom to focus on taking care of others when you know that your own needs will be met. I think its impact plateaus at a certain point, though.

    • Money is very important. Everything depends on the amount of money you have...everything from how often you eat to the quality of your healthcare.

    • Money is the very important in our life right now. We may want to agree to it or not but that's the very fact. Without money, we will not live but its not the number 1 important thing. Money is just part of our existence.

    • I'm with main945. Money is important up to the point your necessities are covered(and maybe a little more), but after that it's who you are that determines the quality of your life.

    • Money is only important to me to keep up with what I need. Food, housing, medical. It would be nice to be able to help out those less fortinute than me. However those less fortinute than me are in very bad shape. One doesn't need money to stack up because you can't take it with you. You can only leave it here for someone to fight over.

    • money is or is not important according to your source point-of-view
if you are inured within a culture of money, it is important
if you are grown from a culture of substance in life it is not
      fundamentally?
it all depends on where you come from

you come from money... money is important
you don't come from money... it is not important or it matters way too much

that generality is just that... a generality
someone from money may not see it that way
      and
someone not from money may not see it that way

      the statement is by numbers
more of one dominates the one

      it's basic human psychology
      but
a strong individual can take a path different than his/her majority
      so
      you have rare exceptions
welcome to Current TV i suspect

      suspect is
Current TV is rife with kids educated by money who see it
      differently than their source

      welcome to a re-visitation of the counter-culture 60's through
      counter-culture Gore

      is it not so?
if it is not so, show-n-tell...

    • Money = choice. Choice = freedom. Freedom = happiness. Money's important, as much as I wish it wasn't. I love my family and am happy for the things that we have...but, in the end, who wouldn't want to be financially comfortable/more well-off?
