What are the greatest achievements in history accomplished through hard work?
Three months in and showing no signs of quitting, the participants of Occupy Wall Street and others around the country and the world continue to fight for their cause.
What do you think are some of the greatest achievements in history accomplished through hard work?

London ? ( Paris Texas has local support )
Agriculture ; the entire "field" of agriculture,......since before we had domesticated mules and oxen and hoed the soil with our own power,.........waaaaaaaaaay before we had machines beyond the wedge and lever and that new fangled "water wheel" thingy.
p.s. "Keep your hands, on that plow,....and HOLD ON".

saying "peace" is a lot like saying "naps" . . . . .or snacking in front of porn.
( Now, I suppose if "peace" involves desperately running from Viking raiders . . . .)

nah. It just takes MUCH fewer people and abundant resources ; there was peace for many a rain forest tribe before someone else found and bothered them. ( and took their stuff )

Sounds stupid, but I'd say the discovery of anesthesia was pretty damned important.
Just imagine the people who pioneered anesthesia back in the 1800s--you know they were getting high before sawing someone's legs off. Dr. Thompson put it somewhat eloquently when he said: "There is nothing more helpless and irresponsible than a man in the depths of an ether binge." But just think of the people who pioneered this, and the legacy they left.
Oh whatever....hope you get some good Gillette advertising bucks :)

Just trying to fight the establishment. Rocky Anderson is trying to do that, as he is running for the presidency on the Justice Party ticket. WHY is Current TV not giving him any airtime? In addition, WHY are my comments to TYT being removed (censored) when I mention this? MSNBC & CNN have given the former Democratic Mayor of Salt Lake City airtime already, but the supposedly anti-corporate, liberal Current TV has yet to do so. WHY is that?
