What does Mitt Romney's New Hampshire win mean for the general election? Will Ron Paul still be a factor?

Former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney rolled to an easy victory, as expected, in the New Hampshire primary on Tuesday night. And, as "Epic Politics Man" Michael Shure noted during our "Politically Direct 2012" coverage, Romney holds a large lead in South Carolina, the next primary state, and South Carolina has picked the eventual GOP winner since the primary's inception in 1980.

Is Romney the lock for the GOP nomination? What does this mean for the general election and President Obama's chances for re-election, and how could a third-party candidacy from Ron Paul effect things?

    • Ron Paul is the only factor in the GOP's half of the general election. As long as he keeps pulling in delegates, he's got the GOP by the balls. Sorry guys, it's Paul or Obama come November.

    • Ron Paul only needs to keep placing in the top three until the Eastern state primaries, and then can win Texas & California.

    • Romney is proof being rich & having an MBA won''t make u smart; Obama will steamroll him. Ron Paul is a colossal waster of money & votes who should be run out of town

    • As someone said on your chat, you guys should hold a debate for the candidates that do not get fair coverage.

I think that could be a big draw and put pressure on other networks to be more fair in their coverage.

After all, Keith indirectly pressured the other networks to cover OWS,

    • The obvious answer is Romney is inevitable, but Paul used his tv time last night to talk about the FRB. I think that is why Paul is running, for the issues, which is commendable. Too bad you guys cut away from his speech, your viewers could have learned something.
