Who likes Mitt Romney?

After Tuesday night's big Mitt Romney victory in Florida, Cenk Uygur asked his Power Panel on "The Young Turks": Who likes Romney?

What do you think? He's been criticized for being robotic and completely out of touch, yet Romney seems well on his way to wrapping up the GOP nomination. Who likes Mitt Romney?

    • The only person who should ever be elected to our Presidency is a person who does not want the job but will accept it and perform it with a sense of duty to the republic and it's people. Anyone who is running or has run in my lifetime has done so to increase their own wealth and influence and the wealth and influence of those people who bought them their seat in the Oval office.

    • Who likes Romney?
      His family
      The Osmonds
      Other Mormons (not named Huntsman)
People whose favorite colour is beige
Newt's first two wives (oh, that was harsh ...)
      His Wall Street Buddies
      Swiss and Cayman Islands Banks

The list just goes on and on ...

    • No secret there. Monied interests like Romney. Just check the South Carolina primary. He won three coastal counties (prime real estate), all of them populated by the well educated and well-to-do, surrounded by those they influence. The one interior county he won is the affluent residential area surrounding the capital city. Even Gov. Haley's own county (she endorsed Romney early on) went Gingrich.
Romney's a 1%'er. We can thank Occupy for making "99% vs. 1%" the central meme of this election. And we can thank the tea party for supporting that meme, though they would never admit it outright.

    • Apparently the people voting for him in the primaries he is winning... unless of course, Karl Rove is fixing this whole thing. That's a Big Featured Discussion? Does even this have to always be poiltical? Some of us do talk about other important events going on in the world you know.
