Is Obama's money trouble a bad sign for November?

Mitt Romney has beat President Obama in fundraising for the third month in a row. The 2012 election season has seen record amounts of money being poured into campaigns and super PACs and it's only August. As the election draws closer, the ability to spend money on ads could be crucial if the race is tight.

    • Raising $71 million in one month, and $2 million in Westport at one fundraiser alone over the weekend doesn't indicate a money raising problem for Obama, but sure proves that there is a money problem in politics today: the politicians are bought and paid for by the rich!

    • According to research, negative ads is the single most effective factor in an election. I think this is because most people judge a candidate by a witty 30 second commercial.

      Therefore, yes.

    • If he were running against anyone but Romney, I'd say he has a lot to worry about. However, the GOP is doing a first-rate job at shooting themselves in the foot, and Romney is too busy forcing that foot farther in his mouth.
