Hi Current-a-teers

This week's top three theme is technology! This week's articles are about technology that can change our day-to-day lives

So here are tele's favorite three tech articles for Saturday:

# 1 - Disable Your Passport's RFID Chip http://current.com/items/89422613_disable_your_passport_s_rfid_chip - From kaecvtionr
-- This might be old news for some of you (not so Current?), but wow, I did not know about this! If you got your passport after January 2007, then your passport has one of these computer chips inside! These chips make it easier for the Government (and hackers) to get information about you. This article teaches you how to deactivate the chip. I'm not sure how smart that is, or if it is even illegal to do so, but if you're paranoid about big brother or just want to know more about this chip, then check this article out!

#2 - The car that runs on air and magnets http://current.com/items/89421710_the_car_that_runs_on_air_and_magnets - From socialexpert.
-- That's right, a car that runs on air and magnets. Sounds like a new concept right? Wrong! Apparently this concept was around during the 1920's and now, with the shape of the economy and gas prices, designers are again looking back at this idea. Magnetic Air Cars, Inc. announced to have a working prototype soon and have it ready for full production as early as 2010!

#3 - Cars and planes made from "Buckypaper" http://current.com/items/89423229_cars_and_planes_made_from_buckypaper - From oblivious.
-- What is Buckypaper? Sounds funny huh? Don't let that name fool you! Made from tube-shaped carbon molecules 50,000 times thinner than hair, Buckypaper has the potential to become 500 times stronger than steel! This material can also donduct electricity and disperses heat. Check out the link for more info about this magic material. I would like to see baseball bats made from this material -- teehee.
