Jan is amazing. She must work extremely fast and be thinking about the stories all the time in order to keep up and still have time for her family. I admire her tenacity and her veracity. She is so well equipped with links to stories and she doesn't buckle under the pressure of all the deniers and naysayers.

I just heard that the reason there is so much clorine in public water lines isn't to kill germs but to neutralize the other chemicals in it like agent orange. does anyone here know anything about this?

This was one of my articles about clean water, it might help you reading all comments.
It will answer to your question.
Hope it helps.

doubtful. Chlorination is a pretty much standard disinfection process for most freshwater drinking supplies, even extremely pristine ones.

Jan is phenomenal.
I surf other sites too and have been reading blogs for years. 'Home' is an eye-opener.
Care2 has a news desk that I use even more than this one. And nobody does link collections with all the search aids around - but I push against the 'current'.
