If you take a look at he blog post, one of the things that I want to emphasize is that a flag is NOT ratting someone out, nor is it something to be used for retaliation or revenge. This is not about someone’s opinion or political viewpoint.
Current.com has community guidelines that everyone agrees to at the point of registration. These guidelines are here to facilitate a forum for discussion that is open and respectful. Spam, hate speech, racism or bigotry, and personal attacks against others in the community are all violations of Current’s community guidelines, and it is completely possible to express an opinion without resorting to any of these tactics. Flagging these violations creates a better discussion for everyone.

I do not believe in "ratting out" people for their opinions. When people squelch the free speech of others it makes communication and meaningful dialog impossible. Plus some of the super crazies are hysterical and you have to love them no matter how wrong or misguided they are.
I also think it is important to be able to form an honest opinion about someone. I would much rather know what someone really thinks than have them spout what he/she thinks I want to hear.
If you disagree, just respond. - 2 years ago

Without using CAPTCHA, there should be two links: "Flag" and "Spam".
Once this site gets really popular, out come the spammers. Need to separate inappropriate remarks from spam abuse, IMHO.

I've only flagged spam. I figure opinions are what this is all about, so I won't try to censor them. If I think it's a crazy response, I'll reply and communicate why I think it's crazy. I'll flag the hell out of some spam though! :)

For this point and so forth, i would never report, it seems rather silly, although, I rarely done it before on several other cases, it seems so similar to telling the police....
I have nothing against it however, when it is done then it is done...Hehe...
We should be actual people who can conversate over such matters, but that doesn't happen?
Because people are too quick to assume and offend....Take the constant "Liberal's fault" assumption for example, giving meaning that everything is the Liberal's fault applying to almost every post that is political and that Liberals comment on. Its slightly a bit stereotyping when they keep saying the "messiah"....
But of course, such things would have been to be taken lightly and not seriously, because they just don't understand, they won't listen to reason, so they musn't be taken seriously.......
Always drawing political matters to conversation may stir controversy....

Oh, but its isn't supposed to be liberal at all....
In fact, its for everybody, just like everything is, nothing like this or any other political issues are the Liberal's faults or ideals....
