Rick Santorum Heading Home Before Florida Primary 2012

Accepting his upcoming third consecutive loss at the primaries, Rick Santorum plans to be at home on Saturday, rather than continuing to campaign in Florida. His team urged him to give up on the state entirely, but the former Pennsylvania senator insisted he would return:
"I'm coming back within 24 hours, and I'm here through up to election day," Santorum told Fox News. "I've spent every minute here in Florida, and I'm going to work in Florida."
"We're going to talk about the Constitution and talk about being a strong conservative," Santorum said at an event here this week. "And that's all we can do."
Santorum leaving has our community talking about the future of the race:
MrMetalloidMan: "Hmmm... but isn't him being ahead of Ron Paul give him a bit of a fighting chance? I mean, Newt and Mitt are probably going to fall on their asses from all the damage they've done to each other. Then again, I can't stand Rick, so maybe that'll give Ron an edge."
letsliveinpeace: "Maybe, don't forget he has skeletons in the closet no one talking about yet, other than the story about his wife."
wolfess: "I personally think he's 'taking a break' b/c too many articles (and posters) have talked about his waaaaay outside the mainstream ideas concerning rape, and he's begun to realize he doesn't have a snowball's chance in-a-planet-enveloped-in-global-warming of EVER being voted president, so he's decided to do the 'honorable' thing and slink back to his bat cave :-)! But then again maybe his wife finally convinced him it was time to give up :-)"
