Republican Lawmaker calls Girl Scouts a 'Radicalized, Pro-Abortion Organization'

Submitted by jeffissleeping

Indiana state Rep. Bob Morris criticized the Girl Scouts because he believes the group is a "radicalized organization" that "sexualizes" young girls and promotes homosexuality. Morris, a Republican, refused to sign a resolution celebrating the 100th anniversary of the Girl Scouts which would honor the "strong positive influence" the organization has had on American women.

Bob Morris goes on to say those considered role models by the Girl Scouts are all "feminists, lesbians, or Communists" and claims that troops are no longer allowed to pray or sing Christmas Carols.

The community chimes in:

jimstoner: "Now they are going after the Girl Scouts? Every time you think you have seen it all from these people they pull another insane rabbit out of the hat. What could they possibly come up with next? Maybe women's organized sports will be the next thing destroying American femininity."

Leen61: "Wow. Just when you think you've seen/heard it all. But I should know better when it comes to the GOP. The insanity never stops and nothing is sacred with these people."

MSII: "Every time I think I've seen -the- absolute worst, most insane, evil, b.s these scum can projectile-diarhea-spew out of their a$$es here comes a new level of crap! These "people" (loosest interpretation of the term) are the foulest of the foul - how they ever get elected?!? Obviously in need of some serious therapy."

    • President Obama needs to clarify his position on pro-choice that connects with a broad spectrum of voters, and de-fuse these kinds of issues. Something like this: "I am pro women’s choice, but I do not favor abortion. Except in the case of a mother's life, abortion needs to be the last resort. The alternatives of having the baby, keeping it or putting the child up for adoption are the better choices among the three. Abortion is the last choice, plain and simple."
