Clackamas Town Center shooting: At least 2 shot dead, more injured by man with rifle

Police have yet to determine Jacob Tyler Roberts' motive for shooting unsuspecting Christmas shoppers at the Clackamas Town Center. The gunman carried a stolen semi-automatic AR-15 rifle and wore a white hockey mask and a load-bearing vest.
"At this time we do not understand the motive of this attack except to say there is no apparent relationship between the suspect and his victims," Clackamas County Sheriff Craig Roberts said at a press conference.
According to Lt. James Rhodes, of the Clackamas County Sheriff's Office, three people were killed, including the shooter. The shooter died of a self-inflicted gunshot, Rhodes said.

The community responds:
FreeSpiritMuse: "As long as there's people on this planet there will be evil deeds done, by individuals and governments alike."
maasanova: "The media selectively hypes which shootings they think will benefit anti-gun agenda. I've been following my local crime reports a little closer recently and I'm shocked at how little coverage some shootings get vs others.I think instead of hyperventilating about a random mall shooting that just happened to be carried out by a gun that the anti-gunners want to ban, we need to examine gun crime in general and why the media will hype certain shootings vover other shootings."
Leen61: "There are just too many of these tragic shootings :("
HarukoHaruhara: "Bugs me when they splash the guy's face all over the Internet and the TV news. That's what they're looking for ..."
lightningthunderfox: "I always find it surprising that there are really such little deaths at these shootings, you would think with a assault rifle in a crowded mall you could kill dozens."
kennymotown: "The shooter may have been just looking for notoriety before he killed himself, kind of a sick death wish, but thank goodness not many were killed before he shot himself."
