Beware of E. Coli Beef

E. Coli was found in beef from Oregon and shipped to Alaska, Idaho, Oregon and Washington. 4 people in Washington and 2 in Oregon have gotten sick from the contaminated meat so far. The meat was processed and packaged in July and had sell by dates of August 1 - 11. Though it seems to me that if you're still eating ground meat on August 31 that had a sell by date at least 20 days earlier...you should have known you were taking a risk, at least of something!
