That photo's a little extreme, but I'm surprised Wu is surprised. A nylon shirt being worn in a sunny environment where the ambient temperature is 120°F seems like it surely could melt. Cotton on the other hand seems like a much better option to me. Perhaps we could make up some cotton shirts for the marines that say "Wuined."
