Benazir Bhutto's death is a tragedy for Pakistan and the world, and, unfortunately a victory for islamofascism, and terrorism. The people who did this and the killing of other good and innocent people really should not call themselves Muslims. Not a Muslim myself, I can still see that most Muslims are good, industrious, and wise people who deserve as much respect as anyone else. Bhutto recognized and represented that. She wanted change and peace. She wanted education and preservation. She wanted to service her country and world. (But that is unacceptable to the !@#$%^&*s that want to make the world full of chaos and death and hatred. I don't know what these people think they are, but God, Allah, whoever you believe in, as well as Islam itself, would not tolerate this badness, this killing of innocents or otherwise good people. The Crescent they follow is not the venerable Star and Crescent that most good Muslims follow.) For doing what was good and right Bhutto was labeled by them as a 'traitor' or an 'infidel' and eliminated because she was a threat to the mindless, animalistic, evil cowards that these people are. That's not fair. It is enormously bad for the world that such a great leader as Bhutto is dead, but if we continue to fight for change, peace, stability, and unity, and all the things she believed in, then she is not dead.

There is definitely more to this than meets the eye, and we will never know what it is because the players in this will make sure we do not.

Indeed, some reports are saying that Al Qaeda is claiming responsibility for the attack, although these claims have not been confirmed.
The original source was an obscure Italian news agency, Adnkronos International (AKI), which quoted Al Qaeda Afghanistan commander and spokesman Mustafa Abu Al-Yazid as saying: "We terminated the most precious American asset which vowed to defeat [the] mujahadeen." We'll have to keep an eye out for updates. - 5 years ago

As I sit in front of cnn and a.cooper, and the amazing "expert" political journalism, I see chapter12's prophetic closing line coming already to fruition. This goofy ass news network is already framing the issue in terms of presidential election politics and how this issue is going to frame the debate. I only wish viewers could know better. And now my local news is now saying "officials are saying AL QAEDA is live and well."

a couple of things for my american friends who may not be too familiar with pakistan..
first off, assassination does not achieve progress.. truth never needs to resort to such tactics.. there is a time and a place.. and also a manner to establish justice.. such acts are not to be condoned..
having said that, bhutto revealed her true colors during her previous tenure when she was head of the pakistani government.. as a result, she was living in "self-imposed exile" in dubai.. she recently saw an opportunity to market herself as pakistan's ticket to democracy.. an english speaking muslim female willing to join the "war on terror" and to open pakistan up for bush's greater vision and western exploitation..
people who wish to see bhutto as a martyr for a higher purpose have likely already made up their minds.. americans have an unfortunate habit to split the world into black and white..
on the flip side, americans also have the shortest attention span of anyone on earth.. and in a few months she will be nothing more than a namesake for others to invoke and draw recognition to their agenda, however unrelated it may be..
