Obama's Victory Speech: Hope is the Bedrock of Our Nation

Image

Obama speaks to America like a President. His theme is not just change, it is a new unity. As a Black man, he helps heal the past as well as forge the future. This was history tonight.

This was the moment we stopped being afraid. This was the America we have missed and have found again. Pay tribute to hope.

A photograph and the video of his speech are included.

    • See, now THIS is what the President of the United States of America is supposed to be like. Isn't this the kind of person you could feel proud representing you to the rest of the world?

Compare his speech last night to any of the other candidates...compare him to W...compare him to Daddy Bush...I mean, really, there is no comparison. I would be thrilled to have Barack represent me anywhere anytime.

    • I would like to know how many if any votes from Kucinich (who told his delegates to vote for Obama as if they can't think for themselves) Dodd, Biden, and Richardson went to Obama, Edwards, and Clinton. Anyone know?

    • I know that Iowa is a big deal - the momentum coming out can make or break a campaign.

But doesn't all the fuss over the results seem sort of weird, given that 49 other states still need to weigh in on who they want the parties' candidates to be...and then we still have to choose between the nominees of the 2 parties?
