Romney says that if he were to continue it would, "forestall the launch of a national campaign and be making it easier for Sen. Clinton or Obama to win."

I wouldnt vote for Romney in a million years, for example, because I can see how plastic (and pliable!) he is. no news anchor is going to convince me otherwise.

I half-heartedly agree. We take our own steps. Barack wasn't raised into the political spectrum like some Truman Show guinea pig. The man made his own way.
Yes, it seems the media has its favorites. But that doesnt mean that they have the final say.
I think the politicians' speeches and debates do more for voters than any anchor man or woman or news organization can.
yes, the news can unfairly omit one or another, But if you look at the "stump speeches" on Current, for example, and the 'day after super tuesday' speeches, you will make up your own mind. They are all saying very different things, in different ways.
I watch KQED, listen to NPR, and the like- these media outlets refrain from heavy editorialization, and that allows me to focus more on the issues and the character of the candidates.

thank God! How many innocent lives has he saved with this deeply altruistic sacrifice? Every day he no longer battles McCain is another day we don't get attacked by radical terrorists.

Saw a funny response to Mitt's dropping out on a CNN message board from a woman in Atlanta. It read simply, "Thank you Jesus!"

You people are disgusting!! He was our only shot a true republican. Now either way the taxing, hippy, violators of the second amendment liberals win either way. McCain is just a spy in the Republican Party for Clinton and all the other liberals. Now America is going not into a recession but instead into HELL!

From the link posted by woodywoodbeck - "In this time of war, I simply cannot let my campaign be a part of aiding a surrender to terror. This is not an easy decision. I hate to lose," the former Massachusetts governor said .
I did not think very highly of Mitt Romney when the race stared. I did learn to respect many of his views as the Primary Race unfolded. I really like his comments when addressing the voters in Michigan. If only Obama took the war on terror more seriously I would consider voting democrat for the first time in my life. I like John McCain. Senator McCain has a record and willingness to reach across party lines toget things done for the good of America. - 4 years ago

ahhh, thank all gods for this .. first, i couldn't take a man whose named after a baseball glove seriously - secondly, is he ever going to answer that man in the wheelchair about his marijuana question - thirdly, a camera crew needs to stay on this man to see what alien ship beams him back up from where he fell from .. this is a good day on the political landscape ..

i don't favor the republicans, but if it's one of them, i'm sort of glad it will probably be McCain, Romney and Huckabee are just too much for me.

Again--its not a free ride for McCain, you have many influential AM talk radio show hosts who threw their support behind Romney--they may move to Huckabee for the moment(who would mathmatically at this point have to win every last state and potentially challenge McCain at the convention).
McCain has some serious problems with the Religious right going back decades that may buck the tradition in the Republican party of rallying behind the front runner...
Here is McCain's bio from Wikipedia:
