Overseas primary gives Obama his 11th straight win

Barack Obama has won the Democratic Abroad primary, with approximately 65% of the vote, giving him his 11th victory in a row.

Over 20,000 citizens living abroad in 164 countries voted between February 5th and February 12th.

The Democrats Abroad controls seven pledged delegates at the party's national convention this summer. Because the group's system of dividing delegates is unique it could create a situation in which Obama and Clinton end up with fractions of delegates.

There's no overseas primary for the Republicans.

    • Depending on how close the race is as it comes time for the delegates to vote, this "51st primary" could act as the swing state.
      I wonder why the Republicans don't have a primary overseas. Surely there are Republicans who live abroad and would like to vote without having to deal with the absentee ballot?
