After the shocking discovery of a buried child's skull last week in a Jersey care home, it has emerged that bones in found in the care home's grounds may be from animals, and not humans as initially feared.

The quaint island of Jersey has been rocked by the claims that a care home that formed an integral part of the island's child welfare system, could have been involved in the suspected child abuse cases.

The care home seems to have a mysterious past, with many rooms being reported as being 'bricked up' and completely inaccessible, which has lead to growing concerns that there may be more than meets the eye in its history.

Although the bones found in the grounds of the home are not believed to come from humans, a 'bricked up' cellar which has been uncovered reportedly has graffiti on the walls which reads "I've been bad for years and years," as well as two other "significant" items in the room - said to be shackles and a trough-like bath.

The police investigation is continuing with officers saying that their findings have been worldwide, with people wanted in connection to the care home living as far away as Thailand.
