Tyrannosaurus rex just a big chicken. Tyrannosaurus Rex is a distant relative of chickens filled in more gaps, showing that the dinosaur was far more closely related to living birds than to alligators.

and not even that close really... quite faintly, faintly, similar is more like it, it seems:
"Actually, they [chickens and T-Rex] only have 3 out of 7 protein sequences in common..."
funny how some fools were claiming this was proof of evolution when this first came out. meh... always amazes me how many extincting species are "evolving" today to save their asses... there's your "proof" of evolution. =D
