93 years old, he was one of the legendary executives behind the Brooklyn Dodgers who helped the Dodgers franchise become the power that they were in the '50s and 60's...The behind the scenes man who made Jackie Robinson's, Don Newcombe's and Roy Campenella's path the big leagues easier... and the man who kept Koufax an Drysdale with the Dodgers, the first executive of the San Diego Padres organization, instrumental in building that club from up, Bavasi was truly a front office legend.
Baseball truly lost a great man...
