The Jena Six incident is one of the biggest racial conflicts that has happened in the past few years. I understand that this issue has been going on for a few years and is a little old, but time does not displace the weight of this incident. It is important for us as people to be conscious of situations such as these--especially People of Color-- because they still exist today. Racism and political turmoil did not die after the 1960's Civil Rights Movement, it still exists in many shapes and sizes today.
