The death toll in the Myanmar Cyclone is now reaching epic proportions, as it is now expected to top 100,000 people. The situation continues to deteriorate. Some 1 million people were homeless, the outbreak of disease is setting in, aid is slow to arrive due to the military junta that runs this impoverished country. Government inaction will lead to many more deaths if more isn't done soon.Like Hurricane Katrina, this is about to become a man made disaster as much as a natural disaster. read more at the associated link.
