A substance used to make chewing gum could soon be declared toxic by the federal government after an international agency found that it might cause cancer in lab rats.

    • rats aren't people.
      common sense says:

      "everything in moderation is okay."

      if you smoke cancer sticks, then think about it
      if you smoke occASIONALLY,
      it affects you alot less than someone who's been
      smoking packs a day for 32 years.

      i'm guessing the same would be assumed for gum
      that is, if it really is a cancerous thing.
