US Drops Charges on 1 of 6 Sept. 11 Suspects

After viewing the well documented interrogation the military tribunals at Guantánamo Bay dropped the death penalty case against Mohammed al-Qahtani. Al-Qahtani had been tortured for 48 days straight by "unconscionable techniques" authorized by the White House. The Center for Constitutional Rights claims, "Mr. al-Qahtani never made a single statement that was not extracted through torture or the threat of torture."
