Maple Energy could announce oil discovery in Peru - Pure Biofuels completes facility

Maple Energy Plc, an oil and natural-gas producer with operations in Peru, rose to a record in London and Lima on speculation it will announce a discovery of crude in the country. The company said it didn't know why the shares jumped. Maple Energy surged 30 percent to 321 pence in London trading, the biggest gain since shares were first listed 11 months ago. Peru-traded shares rose 10 percent to $5.85, adding to a 14 percent advance yesterday.

Pure Biofuels completes mechanical construction of bio-diesel facility in Lima

Pure Biofuels Corp., a Peruvian-based biodiesel corporation, has announced that it has successfully concluded mechanical completion of its primary production facility near the Port of Callao in Lima, Peru. Mechanical completion certifies the integrity of all components and confirms that they have been installed to project standards. The Company now is preparing for the testing of the Callao Port refinery, which is expected to begin the ramp up to full scale production in the third quarter, subject to the test results.

    • Peru's president, Alan Garcia, was always criticized for being too soft with Bush. People claim that the US F'd over Peru many years ago, with all of the trade agreements that hurt their economy.

      I bet George Bush and Dick Cheney are already working on a plan to invade Peru to find those damn Weapons of Mass Destruction, cutting the ties between Al Qaeda and Peru's government, and then rebuilding their government to set an example of Democracy for everyone else in Central and South America!
