Divers searching for more survivors of the Philippines ferry disaster have apparently found bodies.

Relatives of the estimated 800 passengers had been desparately hoping they'd be found alive.

Around 15 bodies have been found trapped inside the vessel floating around.

Officials say there've only been 57 survivors found so far and it's not known exactly how many people were on board.

    • The ship must have gone down so quickly for that many people to have been trapped and unable to get out. Such a sad story.

Sure did. The wind from the typhoon was so strong that it flipped that ferry over as if it was tossing a coin. Very unfortunate... And as rayjay said, who in the right mind would think sailing and typhoon would go together. But what's happened has happened. May the dead rest in peace.

    • That is so sad. They're reporting that a similar ship sank in the same area recently, killing 17 people.

Here's a Current Vanguard pod about an underground river in the Philippines.
