Free travel for all!
about time Londoners got something back.
Hope this doesn't mean we all have to pay extra for updated security though.. - 3 years ago

I prefer walking. Even when it rains.

If being tracked by oysters makes you uncomfortable, then maybe you could walk - it might actually be faster!

And it's not as if London commuters don't have enough things to worry about when riding the Tube!

Ah, the ineptitude of our authorities never ceases to amaze me. First untold quantities of our personal information is left on the train, now the oyster cards that can track our travelling patterns have also been hacked. Brilliant.

It definitely is used to track people. BUT you don't have to register your oyster card. Or if you plan on terrorising people and then taking the tube home, you could just borrow your mate's.

it may well be a great way to track people, but it saves me a shedload on tubes to work.

It's about time TLF gave something back to The People, willing or not.

I like the idea of traveling for free, but I have to agree with the londonparticular article in that we can't all travel for free, or we'd be without a public transport system. I feel lucky to live in a city where I don't have to have a car, and can reliably get wherever I need to go at any time of day or night relatively easily. Sure, every once in a while it's really crowded, or hot, or someone has just vomited all over themselves... but on the whole, it's much better than having to pay for gas, car insurance, parking, tickets, and having the responsibility of being behind the wheel when you'd rather be reading, sleeping, drunk, whatever.

I dunno... Old people, young people, disabled people, war veterans and a few more groups to boot travel for free. I don't begrudge those guys but sometimes it feels like I must be the only one paying - and it kind of explains the outrageous price.
