Anglican Church splits in two over gay issue! Is the Presbyterian Church next?

The organisation created by traditionalists - called the Gafcon movement after the Global Anglican Future Conference which led to its creation - will retain ties with Dr Rowan Williams and will technically remain within the global Anglican Communion.
But it is also likely to lead to orthodox Anglicans severing all links with the main churches in America and Canada, whose liberal leaders are blamed for sparking the current crisis by breaking with the Bible's teaching and by consecrating openly gay clergy and blessing gay "marriages".
The movement's leaders will include at least two Church of England bishops as well as the heads of leading African, South American and Australian churches, and it is said to represent 35 million worshippers worldwide and so spell an end to the "colonial" domination of Canterbury

soul ill- for someone who dislikes gays so much, you seem to post about them an awful lot. Is there something you're not telling us? Or rather, is there something you're not telling yourself?

VitaminB2:
I dislike infidelity, promiscuity, and all of its consequences, STD, abortions, the break down of families. I also dislike use of drugs, hypocrisy, selfishness and like of sincerity.
I especially like evrything that hurt children.
I expose the agenda of gay activists and people who want to redefine gender because theiy are confused about their own.
I like all the opposites of the above.
When you say that I dislike gays, it is in you head.
Islam has its radical terrorists. Homosexuality has its gays activists. They are dragging America to a cultural war and could no careless because they just care about themselves.

You just compared gay rights activists to terrorist. You've got issues. All they really what is to not get discriminated against and the ability to start families. They don't blow up planes.
The only one that seems to be confused is nosy people like you.
Also, I think you meant to say "lack of sincerity" and "they are confused."

I didn't see that about the pregnant man, that does sound hillarious I admit.
I did actually think about that: If scans were made on a significant number of infants, and a link could be found between sexual preference then that would be compelling evidence indeed. However I must raise the moral issue of treating humans like lab rats.

No, not all studies are propaganda.
From what I read about this study, the information was very limited. My first question was: Did they test the same people while they were small babies, young children, adolescents, young adults etc..
The pro gay media came up with sensational news reports about this and I became suspicious wihtout further information.
Just a month ago, we were brainwashed that a man can be pregnant and have a baby.
Even Oprah made money on that one.
Please understand that I have to protect my sanity

I must agree with your point about Studies: many so called 'studies' should be checked very carefully.
But surely you cannot suggest that because some studies are dubious, that this one I referenced, which comes from a reputable source, is definetly wrong.
The good thing about studies is that they can be tested, and retested again and again: If this same result came out, can you honestly say you would put them all down to propaganda. Please, give me an honest answer.

First point: You simply cannot reduce questions of humanity to simple concepts like positive and negative; I haven't seen many Gay couples explode walking down the street.
Secondly, if God valued heterosexual families so much, why did he even give us the ability to be homosexual?! Or is that beyond is power, which I though was meant to be absolute? I mean he created the universe right, so why not this relatively simple matter of human behaviour?

That would also mean you blame him for murders and Hitler and the like. He has not and does not create humans with a purpose in mind, as in a they have a set way to live. He created free will. Adam and Eve were perfect and the further we go from them the more imperfect humans become and the more flawed their thinking and actions become. God has not given people abilities to do as he has deemed inappropriate. He has not altered what he accepts throughout Human existence. If he were to alter like a human it would cause confusion. Just like a child has when a parent is not consistent in their teaching and discipline.

Jammer, I have to disagree with you. God did not create Adam and Eve perfect. They had to grow to maturity.
That was the first blessing: "be frutiful"Adam and Eve fell during the period of growth.
If there were perfect as you said they could not have fallen and there would not be free will either
Dont you think ?
The question is what was the reasons for the fall, what why their blood tainted with the original sin. Why are humans still born with this original sin even after Jesus came ?

Rwylie. Every student of religion learn about this paradox
between the omnipotence of God and the free will of man.He created because of true love and he will not change this principle. We can choose to reject him .
God could not even protect Jesus when he was crucified.
Our unGodly actions damage our spirit. No we do not explode physically. We are spiritual beings first

Good try !!!
What I meant is that + and + will not mix with + and -
It is like electricity, or the atomic bomb, you will get a short or an explosion.
All I am saying is that throughout the whole bible from the beginning in Genesis, God makes it clear why he created men and women and the purpose of the family.
All major faiths , inspired by Godl also support this. Please do not be a lawyer and try to dissect every word in the bible for argument sake.

By your 'Oil will not mix with water' comment, do you mean that you believe that absolutely everything in the Bible, Old and New Testaments, is God's word, and therefore okay with you?

Satan has always tried to destroy God's family from the beginning.

I think it's good to note that God doesn't play popularity contests and he doesn't pander. Those that are within what they think is God's way of thinking that do are not abiding by what they should be and they should be looked upon with skepticism and doubt.

Jammer, you have to concede that reading of the Bible, even by this new conservative facion, is already pretty selective.
Genocide, Stonings etc... They're all in the Bible, and you don't, I'm sure, accept these as 'god's word'. I should also refer you to a recent study which suggests that the brains of homosexuals "look like those found in heterosexual people of the opposite sex".
See: http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/health/7456588.stm
I assume that your own objection to homosexuality is based on the idea that it is a choice, when most people now see that it is not.

There are also those born with mental illnesses and brains that have predilections for murder, rape and all kinds of things. People have the same for music and writing, becoming fat, getting cancer, having heart disease. All of which is determined if it is worthy of having and if it is not.
People decide what it is they are willing to accept without change and what they state can't change. But if what you state is true and that it is already part of the brain and that's excuse to be as one is than when is it going to be alright to be a murder since they too have different brains?
The trick here is not to associate one with the other. I am not stating that Homosexuality is a mental illness and I'm not stating they are on the same brain wave as a murder. I'm stating that these others have brain issues as well that is something that is there and not chosen. How do you differentiate between what is good and what is bad in the brain as in what has to stay and what can change?
Is it based on your own moral compass? Who decides? Who is right in the mind to decide?

To address the other issue separately (so it's not a big block of text---or a bigger block of text) the Bible is the number one book every year and the second book of each year is so far behind that it's amusing. A book as you describe it wouldn't be the number one book. Which means that reading such a book one would have to take into consideration lots of things that have to deal with writing. If you understand writing and you understand who God is then the book makes sense. If you are against the idea of God then you nitpick and convert everything, twist it and make it look horrible in hopes of converting people to your way of thinking. I tend to not listen to those that only have the negative to say about things...they are almost always wrong.

The bible includes the Old Testament (Jewish faith) and the new testament (Christian Faith).
Al passages should be studied in context and not out of context.
In addition , a serious student of religion will separate faith, culture and the politic of the time. Here is an example. Is the war in Irak a clash between the culture of the west and the middle east, is it a clas between Islam and Xristianity. Is is a battle for Oil ? Is it the removal of a brutal dictator ?
Wihtout knowing the purpose of life, the purpose for God to create and what really happened at the fall, it is not possible to understand the reason for religion and the purpose of what happened in history.

It's God's blessing that is bring this about. For if it were right there wouldn't be a such a difference of opinion within something that is supposedly sanctioned by God.
He may work in mysterious ways, but he's not cryptic.
