The ACLU stands for "American Civil Liberties Union," and pretty much sticks to that, and only that. Why on earth would you want them to go away, do you NOT want a watchdog organization to look at the erosion of civil liberties? Why?

You say that they function on taxpayer money -- Well of course, every one of their members who DONATE to the non profit ACLU is an American Taxpayer. I would not want it any other way, would you?

As far as getting the money from Middle East Terrorists -- those terrorists would gladly sacrifice one of their own in some prison hell-hole than to give a dime to the ACLU to protect our American Civil Liberties. Remember, the terrorists hate our liberties, don't they? The terrorists would much rather our country have NO civil liberties.
