Bush gives the finger to the G8, quipping: "Goodbye from the world's biggest polluter"

The 'joke' referred to his continued "refusal to accept global climate change targets", at what is to be his last G8 summit.
However, due to the seriousness of Bush's refusal to commit to any targets, this gesture appears more of a cold, "two-fingered salute", from a President widely accpeted to be "wedded to the oil industry".
Despite the blatant failure of the G8 to persuade the US to open its eyes, a British source said that even though "it's not in the bag ... there is now a real push for a deal."
Some would say that at this stage in the emmissions game, 'real pushes' are not going to make much difference.
This year's summit saw "tensions" between the G8 and other major economies such as China and India, two of the world's biggest 'up and coming' polluters, who "failed to sign up to the G8's pledge to cut its carbon emissions by at least 50 per cent by 2050", itself halied by many as an incredibly weak target.

I should say he didn't literally give them the finger, the title is metaphorical. The fact that you believe that he could have says a lot though!

The VP, his boss, the Big Dick, told the Senate Majority Leader to "Go F*ck Yourself!" a few years ago, so this should surprise no one.

Is this the type of behavior we expect from the leaders that are suppose to lead this nation? Well, I guess leading us down the drain and into poverty, I guess. We are still at war with countries in the middle east. Probably operations that are not spoken of.
He wants us to drill for oil in Alaska and offshore here in the US. He wants free land, easy access and control. Benefits for his own people ( His dad... ). Well I guess if it's friends and personal gain, might as well. It's not like he's going to have another term after this November anyways.
Why would the people here in the US believe that oil prices will go down if we drill for oil here anyways? Who do you think will benefit from it? Who do you think we'll sell it to? Are we going to put it in reserves or since oil is already like 10 times the price that people will get used to it and it will be kept at 10 times+. I certainly don't think it will be beneficial to the citizens of the USA.
Oil companies will make billions, make excuses, pushing back dates of expected profits. And everything else it has done. Price gouging and monopoly.
It's to the point right now, that I don't even care about the enviromental issues because it's about money, lies and deceit. And the future of the USA. ( Glad we blocking the fool from drilling )
Just to prove that Bush is and idiot and that he thinks the world is naive to his plans. Well, I guess he's already proved that he's and idiot. I don't think he gives a F*CK about the American people anyways.
Oh well...just shrug it off and give him the finger.
A few more months and he's out of here. Let's just hope the next group of people aren't going to screw us up as bad.
