    • McCain is still hanging in there dispite a bad economy,Bush,an unpopular war, and less money. The Republican canidate should be doing much worse.

In the primaries, Clinton finished big, and Obama limped to the end. Obama cannot limp to the finish line in the general election.

Obama style of campaign is to embrace and educate. Obama embraces one groups cause, and educates the other group. This works very well in small primary election, and caucus, but not large states.

This is because the issues in small states are homogenious. While large states have constrasting groups, that are pitted against one another.

A general election is not a caucus, but more like a large state primary. Obama is trying to come to the center, but this is going to hurt him, because the group he embraces will feel betrayed.

This has been compared to the Carter election. The Republicians were in worse shape, and Ford almost won. Carter should have put Ford away, and won in a landslide like Johnson did in 1964, but he didn't.

The Republicans know they can win, but Obama only thinks he can win.
