Puffin numbers fall unexpectedly

The number of birds in England's biggest puffin colony has fallen by a third in just five years, a survey has shown.

Experts are dismayed by this decline, as they had predicted a slight increase in numbers.

    • this is the third article ive read this week about an animals numbers dwindleing. im sorry but i dont think it is that important. the dodo is gone the dinosaurs are gone its not going to critically alter the ecosystem if another animal dissapears, hell it will even happen to humans as well

    • I've never seen one, but puffins are some of the coolest looking birds in the UK: they just look like they're wearing beak-paint. Plus they've got a hillarious name!
