Randy Pausch: 1960-2008

Randy Pausch, the Carnegie Mellon professor who became a YouTube phenomenon with his "Last Lecture," died Friday of complications from pancreatic cancer. He was 47. He died at his home in southern Virginia.

    • This was an awesome pod. Love the quote about how he wanted to send the thank you note. I agree that such a thing doesn't necessarily change you should you already be a good person prior. He must have been a great person prior.

      You notice he said he had the best team of doctors. . . Do you think they were cuban doctors, or American doctors

    • It would b easy for anyone in his situation to have a bad attitude, but his ability to look outside himself and realize that having a bad attitude wouldn't make him live any longer and going forth to give these lectures was a gift to everyone who gets to hear them. I hope that anyone who see his message will pass it on to someone that know so they his message and story will never die.
