WASHINGTON - Amid intensifying scrutiny of its failure to act on climate change, the US environmental protection agency (EPA) has ordered employees not to talk to internal auditors, Congress or the media, according to a leaked email released yesterday by green campaigners.

    • No matter if you believe in man made global warming or not, government agencies withholding information for pure ideological reasons and crony capitalism is just plain wrong. Americans should hold people accountable for wrongdoing and bureaucrats accountable for lying. No less is expected off us. Jefferson is rolling over in his grave.

    • Ridiculous. I wonder if this will get challenged, even a little bit. We don't have any of the information we need about the state of our Earth from the people who have the best capabilities of providing us with that data, and rather than tarnish our big time human egos by finally admitting the faults we have and realizing we've been doing things wrong, the EPA continues to play into the politics of a president and a way of thinking that has delayed the start of a new age for human discovery, improved technology for our lives, and sustainable energy sciences for eight very long years now.

    • I saw an article that said man-made changes to the climate are but a drop in the bucket, over time. It seems everyone wants an "issue" and something to stress over.

The research says we are headed to a mini ice age.

Here is yet another attempt to bring down our president over something that is in control.

    • back in march, scientist Deborah Rice was removed from her position as panel chair after not giving the thumbs up to the EPA's seal of approval to protect corporate profits. silly her, thinking that decisions should be made on the basis of credible scientific evidence.

such incidents wouldn't typically be tolerated but, of course, under the Bush administration shadiness and wrongdoing are ubiquitous.

    • "Emperor George" doth continue his mighty grip on the EPA (and all other national branches) whilst the peasants struggle to have he and his minions legally dethroned and imprisoned.
Does it feel that archaic to the rest of you?

    • ROFL!!! Wonderful -- THIS is their best effort at protecting the environment??? It shows how completely incompetent those admin people are -- and, of course, it's a strident call for the EPA rank and file who DO care about the environment to start leaking info all over the place -- go for it!!! lol
