White people want black people to leave the neighborhood

A group of African American, low-income tenants accused the city of Antioch in a lawsuit Wednesday of trying to drive them out of federally subsidized housing by creating a police squad to target blacks for arrests, harassment and pressure on their landlords to evict them.
As more black families have been drawn to affordable housing in the Contra Costa County community, "the city has reacted with alarm and hostility to the newcomers, choosing to scapegoat them as the cause of economic downturn," lawyers for five renters declared in papers filed in federal court in San Francisco.
At a news conference, tenants said police had entered and searched their homes without warrants or any evidence of crimes, had warned their landlords that they could be held responsible for tenants' misconduct, and had asked the county housing authority to eliminate the Section 8 subsidies that kept their rents affordable.
One plaintiff's landlord, Riaz Patras, said at the news conference that an Antioch police officer advised him last year not to rent to African Americans.
The suit alleges that the police Community Action Team, established in July 2006 to patrol high-crime neighborhoods, has violated state and federal laws and constitutional guarantees against racial discrimination and illegal searches. Antioch officials vehemently denied the allegations.
I first came across this story in the New York Times. In that article a white woman was quoted as saying "i know it sounds horrible, but they're [black youths] scary. I'm sorry. Sometimes I question myself, and think, Would i feel this way if they were Mexican or white?" Definitely check out the NY Times article too.

    • Drugs were brought here to distroy brown race. When it was shown that white kids were doing it it became a problem. As long as it stayed in the black and hispanic hoods, things were just fine.

    • Black youths are scary? fucking white people, always scared of something they dont understand

This is white mans world people, it will never change, I just cant believe Black people have been held down for so many years with no major resistance, everytime a black leader comes on top, one who can change things, one who when speaks, people listen, black/white/red/yellow, everyone, but he ends up getting shot

CIA distributes drugs thru mainly black and poor white neighbrohood. People need to see the story on Rick Ross, no black man invented crack, crack was invented by crackers.

War on drugs my ass, isnt any war on drugs

    • Thanks mookster. I had hope in the 70's when I had my children that racism would be gone and taught my children that if you took the skin off of a white man and black man you would be hard pressed to know the difference. Hate was not the answer and that one day we would rise above it. Guess I was wrong. Sorry kids!!:(

    • While it may never be read. I appeal to Black America to read this. From the book "The Willie Lynch Letter"
Food for thought from the internet.
Dear Black Americans: After all of these years and all we have been through together, we think it's appropriate for us to show our gratitude for all you have done for us. We have chastised you, criticized you, punished you, and in some cases even apologized to you, but we have never formally nor publicly thanked you for your never-ending allegiance and support to our cause. This is our open letter of thanks. We will always be in you debt to you for your labour. You built this country and were responsible for the great wealth we still enjoy today. Upon your backs, laden with the stripes we sometimes had to apply for disciplinary reasons, you carried our nation. We thank you for your diligence and you tenacity. Even when we refused to allow you to even walk in our shadows, you followed close behind believing that someday we would accept you and treat you like men and women. We publicly acknowledge Black people for raising our children, attending to our sick, and preparing our meals while we were occupied with the trappings fo the good life. Even during the time when we found pleasure in your women and enjoyment in seeing your men lynched, maimed and burned, some of you continued to watch over us and our belongings. Your barvery on the battlefield, despite being classified as three-fifths of a man,was and is still outstanding. We often watched in awe as you went about your prescribed chores and assignments, sometime laboring in the hot sun for 12 hours, to assist in realizing our dreams of wealth and good fortune. Now we control at least 90 percent of all the resources and wealth of this nation, we have Black people to thank the most. We can omly think of the sacrifices you and your family made to make it all possible. Thank for for continuing to bring 95 percent of what you earn to our businesses. Your super-rich athletes, entertainers, intellectuals and business person exchange most of their money for our cars, jewelry, homes and clothing. Allow us to thank you for not bogging yourself down with the business of doing business with your own people. We can take care of that for you. You just keep doing business with us. It's safer that way. Besides everything you need,we make anyway, even Kente cloth. You just continue to dance, sing and distrust and hate one another.
This goes on and on, I have left some things out. Just get the book and read it. Shame on us, we fell for the equal rights bullshit. It is our fault. Now tell me, what are we going to do about it?

    • T_rose, you need to reread what you wrote. Quote "If I see a BLACK man walking towards me with baggy clothes, I do not feel safe" What part of that was not racist? My younger son wore baggy pants along with the rest of his friends back in the early 90's. Now he work in the garment industry, traveling around the world. He had to put with "your fears" then. It is a FAD!!!!!!!!!!!!! The kids are saying that they want (girls, in his case) to judge them, not their clothes. So get a grip, admit what you are and we can all move on. How many people have heard "gangsta rap" Booming out of a car only to find white kids behind the wheel. I see it everyday. Are you scared of them. Go ahead and lie to yourself. But we know the truth.

    • Good post Mookster. This kind of topic needs to be exposed whenever possible. This discourse is natural. Please remember everyone, we're all people here on this planet.
Except of course those who decide to trade in their 'Human Club' membership by promoting intolerance, practicing tyranny, or executing violence upon the innocent.

    • It's sad that that no one on this website can read. I did not limit my prejudice to black people wearing baggy clothes. I'm prejudice against ANYONE that chooses to dress that way. If I see ANYONE dressed like that coming towards me I will judge them on PREJUDICE. That's not racist. Racism is prejudice against skin color. This is prejudice against fashion/ lifestyle choices.

    • How very sad that people still have to deal with this type of discrimination on a daily basis. For their [the communities] stupidity they will have to pay.

    • Can you blame them? :P Seriously though I'm not racist but if I see a black man walking towards me w/ baggy clothes I don't feel really safe. Actually the case holds for any color person dressed like that. If you dress like a hood, people don't want you around.

Wow. Nice stereotyping there. Because all black people are hoods, and all black people live in low income housing, federally subsidized housing. And all black people shoot up the block. Get a grip. Before one of these "hoods" you're so afraid of comes and gets you.

    • i dont think this is anything new...with false stereotypes backed-up with seemingly flawed studies showing black folks as wild crime ridden savages..are we surprised by some of these attitudes??

I don't hate White people for it. My neighbors today, are white. Still the same, some of the biggest problems that I have today, come from my own kind (Blacks). WTF ?
THEY BORROW AND NEVER RETURN. THEY BROKE INTO MY LOVELY HOME THIS SPRING. Blacks commit petty crimes. White institutions on the other hand try to fuck up your mortgage, raise (illegally) interest rates on your credit cards, etc.. Get my drift.

      People steal.

Blacks use pistols, while Whites use semi-automatics and grenades.

Blacks sell crack on the corners, while Whites bring in cargo ships and plane loads of coke and herion.

Blacks are poor and go to jail, while Whites have cash and pay off the judicial system.

Blacks have shitty schools systems and eventually drop out, while Whites stress education and remain affluent. ( I guess being raised around Whites does have some advantages)

Times are changing and everything is starting to have an affect on all of us.

Maybe there is a God ( Some Great Equalizing Force) amongst us.

I am learning to be cautious and friendly at the same time.

      The Beat Goes On.

    • Contra Costa? I didn't think the area was capable of something like this. Then again, when society and the economy are collapsing, people start blaming eachother.
