A new study concludes that some of us are more prone to suffering from extreme anxiety, as personified by Woody Allen (pictured), because of an inherited genetic mutation.
A team from the university of Bonn, Germany, found that a single gene mutation "is potentially only one of many factors influencing such a complex trait as anxiety." In short, although life events and upbringing obviously play a role, if you have this gene then you're more likely to have an anxious personality.

i don't think our go, go, go tech/war/greedy culture is helping with this. ive been told to live in places where it is peaceful and quiet to ease my anxiety. i am looking at moving in under a big rock in the woods....i mean where is this quiet and peaceful place?

Ultimately, I'm against the idea that genes dictate who you are.
However, they certainly shape you, predispose you and limit your potentials. That much seems undeniable.
