ouch
the blockers did well, its like they expected it to happen
but why do the tv stations keep playing it when the sportscasters keep saying they don't want to see it again?"oh, that must have really hurt. i don't want to see it again but if you look at the replay you can see..."

Yea I know it must hurt and all that but one second
AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA Did NO ONE else crack up at this!? The way the people run in with the boards and stuff, its on worldwide television, we're going to be seeing it for a verrrrrrrrrrrrry long time, plus the fact you know he is going to brake his arm makes it more funny when he does :P

I think the images and sound are supplied to indivudual broadcasters by the Chinese host broadcaster. Then the broadcaster in your country - NBC (in the US and online) and the BBC (in the UK) put their own commentary in.
This would explain why the australian commentators on this footage are asking not to see the clip again from another four angles in action replay and their wishes are being ignored.
But the number of replays of the poor guy in agony is a bit overkill.
For a socialist country the Chinese clearly know a thing or two about popular commercial television - keep playing that money shot over and over.
There's a budding Big Brother exec producer working on the team covering the Olympics over there.

I'm not an expert in weights but from what I saw... when you know you cannot lift something that heavy... aren't you taught what to do so that something like this won't happen? I think this guy said, "fuck it!" knowing it was too heavy for him and look at the consequence.
I'm sorry... but what a... :: blank ::

Shit that stuff hurts, I've done my shoulder but not an elbow, ouch... Dislocations definitely hurt worse than breaks, but both at the same time is no joke either. I broke/dislocated my ankle coming off a horse and I sat down, looked down at my foot (all the way over to the right an an angle) and thought, "Gee it's not supposed to be there is it?" I just reached down and jerked it back over in place without a second thought, but every time I tell that story people cringe... =)

Most definitely yes - the tendons and ligaments are either stretched excessively or even broken, and there is likelihood of the ulnar nerve being permanently damaged.

Quick recovery my man. I'm sorry the whole world had to see you in such agony. Maybe, the whole world can send you a good brust of energy(ok burst might be a poor choice of words). and you will heal in a snap( Oooops) Maybe, next time you'll break (awww)a record. That's a stretch(too, much?).

Give the Chinese hosts some credit for the fact they launched straight into a well practiced routine when it all went wrong there! They covered the man and took him off almost instantly.

I've heard that a dislocation hurts worse than a break. But the good thing is the doctor can just slip his arm back into the shoulder joint.
