heartily agree that this is becoming a trend. most likely because some young women:

a. need attention (right on, owwmykneecap)

c. need to look open minded and cool

I do believe in exploring one's sexuality but it seems as though the rise in girl-on-girl action doesn't stem from a deep need to explore. It looks like it comes from a place of senseless, 'open-minded' behavior induced by alcohol. Kind of like 'be cool and do anything to attract attention'.

Yea, because of women like those, many are confused about what is a lesbian and bisexual are. Some are even called themselves bisexual when they really are not.
