Goalkeeping legend Oliver Kahn received an emotional farewell from fans after playing his final match as Bayern Munich took on the German national team.

At 21:40, the referee blew the whistle, ending the Oliver Kahn's final match. The stadium immediately erupted into applause and a standing ovation ensued. A fantastic career, many medals and a real character - Kahn (39) is a German footballing hero.

The footballer was given a heartfelt farewell as Paul Potts sang ‘Time To Say Goodbye’ and many of those watching sobbed in the stands. Kahn told his fans: “I don’t know what I should say. This is the greatest thing I’ve experienced throughout my career. It is the high point of my career.”
Kahn even had to cut his speech short as he struggled to fight back the tears.
