Make circumcision safer, say researchers

Out of 1,007 boys interviewed two months after being circumcised, 25 percent had experienced "adverse events", including excessive bleeding, infections and pain while urinating. The researchers estimated that the procedure had resulted in permanent damage to about 6 percent of the boys.

    • I've got to say, I don't have a whole lot of experience with circumcised penises(!) but the uncircumcised ones are pretty damn good with the skin left on! Um, moving on...

      What I'm trying to say (coming from a secular country and having no great attachment to any religion) is that I find it kind of shocking that religious and cultural beliefs dictate that there's something wrong with the human body that it has to be cut, sheared and improved, whether for men or women. If we're talking about G/god(s), didn't he/she/it create us perfectly as we are? Can't we just stop cutting bits of peoples' genitals off!?
