We Agree
Foreign Policy: The Iraq War must end as quickly as possible with removal of all our soldiers from the region. We must initiate the return of our soldiers from around the world, including Korea, Japan, Europe and the entire Middle East. We must cease the war propaganda, threats of a blockade and plans for attacks on Iran, nor should we re-ignite the cold war with Russia over Georgia. We must be willing to talk to all countries and offer friendship and trade and travel to all who are willing. We must take off the table the threat of a nuclear first strike against all nations.
Privacy: We must protect the privacy and civil liberties of all persons under US jurisdiction. We must repeal or radically change the Patriot Act, the Military Commissions Act, and the FISA legislation. We must reject the notion and practice of torture, eliminations of habeas corpus, secret tribunals, and secret prisons. We must deny immunity for corporations that spy willingly on the people for the benefit of the government. We must reject the unitary presidency, the illegal use of signing statements and excessive use of executive orders.
The National Debt: We believe that there should be no increase in the national debt. The burden of debt placed on the next generation is unjust and already threatening our economy and the value of our dollar. We must pay our bills as we go along and not unfairly place this burden on a future generation.
The Federal Reserve: We seek a thorough investigation, evaluation and audit of the Federal Reserve System and its cozy relationships with the banking, corporate, and other financial institutions. The arbitrary power to create money and credit out of thin air behind closed doors for the benefit of commercial interests must be ended. There should be no taxpayer bailouts of corporations and no corporate subsidies. Corporations should be aggressively prosecuted for their crimes and frauds.

Some of you have not been listening. The Fed Bank is one of his prime targets. That is one of the problems. There are so many powerful figures behind this organication that Ron Paul will not stand a chance. What I dont understand is Why!! doent the public hear this man. He wants to give them a chance to live and be happy without fear. Has the stockholm syndrome taken over the entire country?? I caint figure it. I ask myself for what purpose is this universe with so much violence? and yet here on earth there is so much natural violence and for centuries mankind has been creating its own violence equal to all of the violence created by nature. One tsunmai can destroy thousands of People and one Bomb can also destroy thousands of people. Ron Paul, Dennis Kucinich and Cindy Sheehan Congressman Jim McDermott have all spoken and given this country a chance to proudly face the world with all sincerity and respect. Ron Pauls campaign fell apart because his programs would have exposed the Washington prolitariet as it is. The media follows the orders of some one else. this is not the era where newspapers prints the news, no they print the entertainment section they label and the entertainment sections as News, Politics, World, followed by all nations and dont forget, My God dont forget the Sports section and Hollywood. Thats whats important to the mainstream media. Check the news from BBC, Reuters and many other media sources and find what is missing from the American news. Kids have been dieing all of these years, at least they deserve an honorable mention by more than Keith Olbermann. At least he tells it like it is. or he did. Where is he now?

hmm...ron paul has many excellent policies, but he's obviously no leader as his campaign fell to pieces, and he's also to extremist for todays america. he would represent a good place to be, but it would be too wrenching to take america where he wants it to be. that's why he's an unrealistic candidate. but, more power to you if you don't want to vote for mccain!

Well as soon as somebody like Bill Gates runs for president your wasting your vote sad but true. Just think how different our world would be if just a thousand Ralph Nader voters in Florida had of voted for
Al Gore. This is too big of an election not too vote for Obama. - 3 years ago

What state do live in? I live in CA, where Obama is expected to win by 15%. There is no risk of McCain winning here.

..but this post is not just for Californians. It is a nationwide site. In other states it might be considerably close.
Vote for whomever you like....it's your right, but thinking that a candidate might loose by just a few votes that go to another candidate that wasn't even close sounds pretty sad. Especially when more independent voters lean toward liberal than conservative, meaning that many conservatives will not vote for anyone but the Republican candidate no matter what. - 3 years ago

That is all nice, but the real problem is the income tax.
The income tax code dictates how American's spend money. It taxes savings interest, but not interest on loans except mortgages.
The income tax code is vary complicated, and grants previledges to classes of people, while punishing other classes of people.
All income taxes should be abolished, and replaced with a sales tax with no tax on interest. This way a person could save, and pay taxes when the money is spent.
Americans would have more control over their lives. Of course there will be losers in this system, which will be addressed the same way "earn income credits" address inequities today.
