    • A great clip Rachel!! Republicans want to replace the Village Idiot (that would be George W) with this doddering old bufoon who qualifies as an "Ace" fighter pilot for NORTH VIETNAM by destroying five (5) American war planes (he crashed four of them before he managed to get himself shot out of the sky). Where do the Republicans find these losers?

    • He cant remenber one clear thought without grasing for the lectern...

His cognitive though process is in doubt, he can’t remember certain procedures- how he voted on certain bills and on and on…

      The so-called “maverick”!
Mccain is the GOP 95 % mirror image of failed policies!

He dangles abstract ideas to the public, such as we can drill our nation out of the oil problem when countless experts have said otherwise.

He recently said he might change his course and administer new taxes and the next day recanted his own words. He recites populist principles yet everyone knows that his voting record is everything but populist!

Why won’t McCain release his full medical history? This should be a requirement to be president!

If anyone applies for any sort of job we all have an examination that is made available to all concerned! Is this action regarding his medical records responsible and upright?

The GOP voters picked Mccain in the primary election-
so quite crying that the National media scrutiny isn’t fair to him! Is he tough, smart and healthy enough? Evidentially not!

how about the fact that he graduated #1 in his class, and was the first black pres of the Harvard Law Review. i'm sorry but if i'm not mistaken didn't your candidate finish 5th from the BOTTOM of his class not to mention, crash 4 planes before he got shot down the 5th time.....? or maybe it was all a dream......

    • Well Rove did that as an operative, not as a journalist. Of course, even that line is being blurred now. But I find it comical that we abhor Fox for acting as the mouthpiece of the Republican Party, but we applaud MSNBC for being the mouthpiece of the Democratic Party. In all honesty, it's fine with me. You've chosen a brand. But don't come here and pretend like what these people are peddling is truth. What they're peddling is a Party message. If you can't recognize that and you can't admit that, then I have no use for you.

Your response is fair. I am new at this but am fascinated by how much trouble politics is in. Plato said (or Aristotle) that politics is necessary to organize societies, but does it have to be dirty? At any rate I am going to watch Msnbc for a little while with an eye to the bias. I have no intention of rooting for one party or the other. My favorite man was Mike Bloomberg because he is good at getting things done. I am a musician who has an interest in the future of America and I think good debate is what it's all about. Not one party controlling all of it.

Condecending voices on Fox are dealt with by receiving an unemployment cheque. MSNBC is catering to the people who are tired of hearing right wing and ultra right wing so called journalists on CNN, FOX, NBC, ABC

Funny I always thought Rove and co. came from Goebbels University but I will check out your claim of using edited clips for myself. I am independent and think Dems and Reps are responsible for the mess we're in. Thanks for the comment as I am just entering this community for the first time and welcome intelligent views.

    • Lots of half quotes, quotes out of context, etc. It's amazing what you can do with a little editing. It's also amazing what you can do when you're not bound by any sense of fairness. When you make absolutely no attempt to present the arguments of both sides in the debate. Maddow and Olbermann crank out party soundbites with such skill and conviction and with such smugness that Herr Goebbels is probably applauding from the grave.

you can you-tube the entirety of this video without Maddow/Olberman captions. sure they took segments of the video, but it's all in the correct order of what really happend. but you know, i wouldn't expect either of you to actually DO SOME RESEARCH

So the snippets are presented without context and without any presentation of the arguments of the other side . . . and you call that fair? You call that truth?

      Bullshit.

      Donkey Branded, Industrial Strength Bullshit.

i am hearing your point, but what has fox been doing? their reporters are STILL feeding the stereotype that he is a muslim .seriously?c'mon i though we were past that. i understand and agree that you cannot believe everything you see and hear on tv/radio, but i am a big believer in finding the 411 yourself. it takes work, but it is worth it in the end. i hope that you will do so, and hopefully change your mind. but only YOU can do that.

    • The fast rise of a smart talented news person like Rachel shows how much this country needs truth, reality(not reality TV),and humor to start replacing the biased hate speech of the highest paid people in media today like Rash and Shawn(misspelled I know)

i've seen your posts on other podcast and i cannot help but congratulate you on what a MORON you are. you are a typical republican who, when shown the facts, brushes it off like it doesn't matter or cries in the corner from 'being attacked' because you know you're wrong. i mean when will YOU wake up and realize how your party is playing you for a fool. i might add it is very scary to watch how you and your fellow party capitalize on lies, get away with it, and are too lazy and ignorant to look for the facts. ladies and gentleman, the GOP -Grand Ol' Prevarication party. go look that up nobamajon, but don't get offended when you see the truth

    • Rachel is a Rhodes Scholar and holds a doctorate in Political Science. She is far brighter and more savvy than McShame. She does not pretend to be neutral like CNN and all the other news who are always "careful to pretend" neutrality.

Pick up any newspaper, pick almost any news show and you will never get the real story on McCain --his deceptions and misleading statements or how all over the map he is just to be elected. I never see Obama getting the same amount of air time or newspaper stories.

It is the Right's favorite ploy to say all news media have a liberal bias. Yeah right.

I am always amazed at how easily the right manipulates folks.

she's biased?? what about your closeted amigos over at FOX? the devils playground??? i mean they are soo good at speaking the truth or correcting your candidates mistakes, right? i mean someone has to do it if your only news source wont because they KNOW you are to dumb to find out for yourself ...ridiculous

fair and balanced? fox is the farthest thing from fair and balanced. go to factcheck.org, nowpublic.org, truthdig.org.look the facts up yourself!!!!! its no wonder the GOP gets away with these things, because they know their supporters wont take the time to look up things themselves. i do see your point how one news station can be more biased than the other, but one thing R. Maddow claims along with her liberal colleagues is LOOK THE 411 UP YOURSELF(to confirm what they say)! do the digging, go to the library and see the proof for yourself. a real reporter would say that, let me know if bill, sean, or geraldo will say something like that...... i may die before that happens and i'm only in my 20's

    • Rachel has done a good job of showing how McSame and Palin have both proven themselves, lately, to have a below average level of intelligence...actually, dismal at best...

It's one thing to know what you're talking about, but quite another to be reading it from a cue card or prompter and still get it wrong...pathetic, to say the least...I prefer not to see McSame or Palin anywhere near the Oval Office...what could we expect if Grampy gets in front of foreign dignitaries and makes the same kind of blunder..? Is this who we want representing our great nation..? Bush has been bad enough, already...

    • Accountability is good. I too watch PBS Jim Lehrer as well as Rachel and Keith.

Wish Rachel were running for Pres. She is one smart woman.

Palin doesn't even understand economics or foreign policy. I bet she has a great plan for global warming!!!!
I think that each time she opens her mouth her ratings go down.

Up with Rachel and down with Palin.

It does frighten the hell out of me that so many folks are fooled by McCain and Palin. Just shows how much brainwashing there is in USA

    • Only 7% of Americans agree with the bailout. Sarah Palin is in Florida right now criticizing Barack Obama for not having a plan.

Well I got a plan! Add accountability and investigations into how we got to this point and the majority of Americans will agree.

Accountability isnt a choice, its a necessity! Accountability and shame for their actions would deter others from taking us down this road further. Something has to stop them from manipulating our economy into the rich get richer and the poor get poorer.

The truth isnt a "blame game", it would be FACT! No spinning allowed. Facts under oath, this is too large to be judged in the court of public opinion. We have laws to deal with our criminals.

    • Rachel, I love you.

She has given me reason to not despise all TV journalism, as she actually, you know, uses facts!

McCain is doomed if anyone is paying attention. The scary part is, Palin's "slip" is actually quite telling. From the looks of how unorganized and clueless he is, as well as his health and age, it more than likely would be a "Palin-McCain" administration.

How can he still have supporters when he "flip-flops" like this?!?
