Army Unit to Deploy in October for Domestic Operations

Beginning in October, the Army plans to station an active unit inside the United States for the first time to serve as an on-call federal response in times of emergency. The 3rd Infantry Division’s 1st Brigade Combat Team has spent thirty-five of the last sixty months in Iraq, but now the unit is training for domestic operations. The unit will soon be under the day-to-day control of US Army North, the Army service component of Northern Command. The Army Times reports this new mission marks the first time an active unit has been given a dedicated assignment to Northern Command. The paper says the Army unit may be called upon to help with civil unrest and crowd control. The soldiers are learning to use so-called nonlethal weapons designed to subdue unruly or dangerous individuals and crowds.

    • tazers were supposedly ok'd for police to use only in a situation requiring them to shoot someone, when is it necessary for the safety of those near, to shoot and kill someone yelling-don't taze me bro?? and-this violates our innocent until proven guilty, doesn't it? .

    • so this was originally designed so "local" sheriffs can draft/legally deputize men over 15( like a mob), to track down and return escaped slaves(kidnapping victims to say the leasts, vulnerable people, not allowed citizenship,or any human rights?) to their "owners"(the wealthiest top 5%)??

    • I do beleive it is againt our lawws to have the army policing its own citizens. Though in some vids ive seen of the RNC and DNC there were MPs in the mix of riot police.

    • Minor injuries can and will occur (bruises, stings, etc.) to individuals who are struck by payloads of Non-Lethal munitions. In fact, even if properly employed severe injury or death are still a possibility. Non-Lethal weapons shall not be required to have a zero probability of producing fatalities or permanent injuries. However while complete avoidance of these effects is not guaranteed or expected, when properly employed, Non-Lethal weapons should significantly reduce them as compared with physically destroying the same target.

how many times have you heard a soldier say they are fighting for the freedoms their fellow americans enjoy. and now those same troops will come back home and use these tactics against those same americans they were fighting for? this is not a form of logical reasoning i am familiar with.

yeah, it merely gives them some pretense of dignity and a public face for having to suffer the egregious bs...dangerous thing indeed is some do actually believe they merit it, because in their minds, what else affords them for how warped they've become

Bu$hCo is staging their final assault on the public. They are probably going to impliment a police-state situation right after they cause the full market failure.

    • sweet post, bishopobispo, and yet, for other die hards I see here, I do wonder what "Obama's" gonna do about this =P hehe ...anything? =) hmmm... somehow I seriously doubt it's anywhere near the top of his list for a concerned America...

But lo and behold, here's a good Pres. who knew his butt from a hole in the ground:

"...only an alert and knowledgable citizenry, can compel the proper meshing of the huge industrial and machinery of defense with our peaceful methods and goals, so that security and liberty may prosper together." --Pres. Dwight D...

funny how such older even comparatively recent history has so many lessons entirely relevant to today's memes and insolent modernisms more often too good to look to the past considering it naively "passé," to actually learn anything, and yet, that is most of America today, instead challenging everything from "traditional" (passé) marriage, to, quite passionately with heart-felt displays, who the next American Idol should really be...wow, amazing how persipacious our collective consciousness has really been manipulated to be.

and so, what if most of us Americans are way too stupid to realize how lost we are? that'd be, as huntre says, "us fighting us" but, on another level, in our homes, beside our neighbors...and, yeah, against our troops and policing authorities. How Orwellian. and yeah, really, huntre, how "united" can that really be.

turn off your tv's and detox ;)

i don't wanna piss on the moment here, but it's always pissed me off how that's been as much a laughing matter as it was for the freaks who stood by and did nothing, and the assholes who did the tazing... Maybe they're just lucky I wasn't around.

    • Yes, consider that this is the lead-up to the next terror attack...another one planned and executed by the bush/cheney administration, in order to impliment martial law, in order to install another republican puppet in the white house...so that we will have 8 more years of misery and suffering...

    • Oh baby! It's just such a re-occuring shock that there are still fellow Americans out there that still don't understand that Al-Quaed and Bin Laden are all CIA formed and controlled to serve the domestic and international psychological operations. What alot of diregard for the lives and freedom of mind of fellow Americans they did demonstrate on that day 9/11/01. Of course if I were one of the thousands of armed forces personel that are made to sit in the internet and blog in support of conservative views - psyops. Then I guess I would probably pretend not to know too.

Who knows how long it will take, but one thing is for sure that the way things are going, they can not keep it hidden for too long.

I actually just learned that...about being affiliated with the CIA. Interesting business. Also that fact that the majority of the "hijackers" are still alive. So much more but I'll not get side tracked this time! :-)

Enjoyed both your posts here!! I live not far from a chemical weapons depot and a huge military training facility. Yippy!!

    • The thing we are all afraid of would be what a police state??? Well, maybe we need them here did anyone consider that? There is a fast growing and spreading idealism that has been sweltering out of the "cities" we captured, we threw down the troops to protect this tiny area of the whole and now the terrorists are popping up all over everywhere else, The REAL reason for iraq is to give them a place to attack, keep them off our soil, U C in this world its us or them, they decided this for us and u should resent them not soldiers on our own land, We need protection, now if it turns into a military state then I will grab arms and race to our freedom's defense personally, Like Drawk up there says "we have better arms ,,,,anyway"

    • Tired of having to press one for English and press two for Spanish?

Are you tired of everything has to be in English and Spanish?

When was it mandated that Spanish was our second language?

Those people who are so worried about the Military protecting our country. Our country is under seige!! We should be worried by the flood of illegal immigrants that jump our borders, smuggled in vehicles and transported to different states. They CRIMINALS when they broke our immigration laws we are losing millions of dollars everyday because of them.

Our Social Security is giving food stamps and other support to illegals when our own LEGAL citizens can't get them. American seniors, can barely get by on their Social Security check, are being forced to get supplement medical and precription insurance that Social Security is going broke. Seniors have worked and paid into Social Security they are entitled to these funds. What kind of government do we have who will take American Social Security benefits and give it to criminals? Stop taking money out of Social Security get your money some where else and leave ours alone.

Everytime someone pays an llegal for cheap labor they're breaking the law. They are aiding criminals to hide from INS and the cash they get is going to Mexico in money orders to bring more illegals in.

Homeland Security was funded following 911 to protect America from another attack on American soil. Airports are required to screen passengers before they board airplanes.

The Federal Government has cut back the number of Border Patrols and funds that has left our borders unprotected. Federal Pentinary System seem to know how to contain Criminals since they installed cyclone fences topped with razor wire has had no escapes Let's start put up stringing some fences.

Tell our Government to increase Border Patrols with the assistance of our military. Our entry points enlarged to inspect all vehicles entering this country especially trucks and vans.STOP THIS INVASION.

Our borders have to be protected to protect America..

First off, what does your rant have to do with the post? And secondly, put the business owners who hire the illegals in jail and you know the flow of cheap labor would soon dry up with no jobs.

It is illegal for employers to question the documentation of someone it hires. And really...are they taking your job? You wanted to clean houses or pick onions for 12 hours a day? Quite frankly if I lived somewhere that my family was stuggling I would want to imigrate to a place that I could provide a better life for my children. What better place than America...where dreams are possible?

    • The best recommendation that I can offer as sort of a self-made civil defense consultant:

      1. Stay physically fit, exercise. Run. A fast and strong hand is a good thing to have in times of trouble.

      2. Some assault rifles, pistols ammo, could come in handy. Avoid imagery and rhetoric that includes weapons. They are only a last resort and not a means. The people must not allow themselves to be misrepresented in front of the people.

      3. Know where your local armouries and military equipment/munitions storage facilities are. If all hell breaks loose then it's a good idea to relocate all that stuff to be used to liberate fellow Americans from concentratin camps.

      4. Find good officers amongst the police and military that are not loyal to such government actions. They can play a critical role in the people's freedom operations to derail such a military government takeover in the US.

      5. Know where all government secret bases and bunkers are. That's most likely where the evil elite trash will go to hide and command any kind of martial law and purges in the US.

      6. Keep in mind that they themselves may release stories about such pending events for the purpose of either frightening or just radicalizing the people to the point of a violent anti-government atmosphere. Then all they have to do is go ahead and organize some acts of terror that are supposedely commited by some anti-government forces and there you have it. The excuse for the crackdown itself.

“Right now, the response force requirement will be an enduring mission. How the [Defense Department] chooses to source that and whether or not they continue to assign them to NorthCom, that could change in the future,” said Army Col. Louis Vogler, chief of NorthCom future operations. “Now, the plan is to assign a force every year.”

They may be called upon to help with civil unrest and crowd control or to deal with potentially horrific scenarios such as massive poisoning and chaos in response to a chemical, biological, radiological, nuclear or high-yield explosive, or CBRNE, attack.

The package includes equipment to stand up a hasty road block; spike strips for slowing, stopping or controlling traffic; shields and batons; and, beanbag bullets.

“I can’t think of a more noble mission than this,” said Cloutier, who took command in July. “We’ve been all over the world during this time of conflict, but now our mission is to take care of citizens at home ... and depending on where an event occurred, you’re going home to take care of your home town, your loved ones.”

In our discussion of how the webbot project of www.halfpasthuman.com works, the following graphic is useful to consider. Think of an 'event' in our immediate future - such as the 'life changer' that shows up in modelspace on or around October 7th, 7:10 UTC or so, as a rock thrown into a still pond. We'll call it the "Event" in this drawing:

      ...

The highlights are Massive change in financial structures (ongoing, see next item) then whatever the October 7th events are, then a series of release or emotions events till March 2009. Something with a lot of 'military' aspect to it on October 15th, or thereabout. Then one big earthquake, likely Pacific Northwest around December 10th, with another one within days (Dec. 12th in model space).

Then we get rising discontent/talk of rebellion/revolution through the spring, the Summer of Hell in 2009, and strange disappearances - but it ain't the Rapture - think more like 'the harvesting' starts in late summer 2009.

I'm open to ideas. Street protests, work sit-downs etc. I don't know for sure but I'm pretty certain that letters to your congressman won't do shit! Look at public sentiment in the negative over this " bail-out" plan. NOBODY supports this crap but our representatives keep promising to have it done in a week or 10 days! Their all in on it!! They are useless to us.
Like I said ,I'm open to ideas. SEND "EM ON!!

      A little side note:
Keep an eye open for the bush&co "state of emergency" crap. They've already got a regular Army unit training for "crowd control" INSIDE the US!!This is a first for our country. Black water has been in country for months if not years. Do you guys really think bush&co would get all these powers passed and then turn over the country to the Democrats??!! I don't think so!!
