ANP: At St. Louis VP debate, McCain campaign rented out a stadium to re-energize the conservative base.

American News Project: At the vice presidential debate in St. Louis, the McCain campaign rented out a stadium to re-energize the conservative base in light of Sarah Palin's recent gaffes. Despite the revival feel, zeal for Palin isn't translating in the polls. While some would argue Palin exceeded expectations, unregistered voters seem unimpressed.

Dude. You are sitting on denial hill or something. Palin has been called out by non-partisan players time after time after time for BLATANTLY lying over and over. And its not just that she creates new lies but she repeats the same ones over and over.

And not to mention you are attacking someone for stating a fact. Sarah Palin does lie. A LOT. You are calling someone a liar for stating the truth? How very republican of you. Its like the kid in the sandbox. "NOOOOO, NOOOO, NOOOOOO" You put your hands over your ears and scream so you dont have to listen to what someone else is saying. Its really truly pathetic. You can't debate. You just freak out. Either with insults or by blatant bullshit.

"Thanks, but no thanks." LIE Here is her ORIGINAL ANSWER.
"5. Would you continue state funding for the proposed Knik Arm and Gravina Island bridges?

Yes. I would like to see Alaska's infrastructure projects built sooner rather than later. The window is now--while our congressional delegation is in a strong position to assist."
BTW, she still hasn't given back the money. Which is no longer restricted thanks to an earmark... which leads me to the fact that she speaks against earmarks but has used them to her advantage quite publically.

There is the whole Energy issue:
"America needs more energy ... our opponent is against producing it."

No -- he plans to develop a lot more energy than John McCain does. It's just that a lot of it is renewable, not carbon-based. OH, and Obama hasn't skipped the last eight votes on renewable energy.

Palin claims taxes will go up under Obama. WELLL it depends on how you look at it. If you make under 250K a year your taxes WON'T go up. And there are MORE American's under the 250K line than above it which means more people won't pay higher taxes over all.

AND realistically - it should be the people who MAKE the most money and can afford to pay the taxes paying them... not those struggling to make ends meet... those who can afford to put back into the country should. BUT thats just a personal opinion.

Palin said she was a friend to special needs school funding. LIE. Palin actually slashed funding for schools for special needs kids by 62%..HOLY SHIT... SIXTY TWO PERCENT. That is HUGE.

Palin stated that troop levels are back to resurge levels. Again, another LIE. Even Fox News' Carl Cameron had to concede on camera that this was "arguably mathematically not the case." Iraq troop levels before the surge were at 133,500. While U.S. troop levels in Iraq have been in the 142,000 range recently, today they are at around 150,000 because of an ongoing troop rotation.

OH and Im not gonna get too deep into it because I haven't researched it enough... but that article that Palin used to cite Obama and Ayer as best buds... the one from NY Times... remember how SHE said "and its from the NYTs so you know it HAS to be right..." Well that VERY SAME article concluded that "the two men do not appear to have been close. Nor has Mr. Obama ever expressed sympathy for the radical views and actions of Mr. Ayers."
Very same article. So while I'm not saying she LIED with that one, but she definitely misconstrued the truth - took one tiny bit of an article to benefit her and make her opponent look bad... and its backfiring... bigtime... because the same article negates her whole purpose of quoting it.

I could keep going... with more REAL evidence and not just whine like a snarky little brat like you. But i'll save my energy. If you are going to be an obnoxious dipshit then back it up. Hate ti break it to you but JC911 was DEAD ON... rather you are the one that is knee deep in bullshit and denial.

    • It's very simple. We don't need 500 fancy words to explain it.
People can smell a liar a mile away. We know when someone's trying to take us for a ride...that has nothing to do with being republican or democrat. Sarah Palin is a fake and has no business seeking such a high office without having a clue about foreign affairs and economics. As far as that goes, neither does a decrepit old man called McSame.

    • Those who contribute to these discussions concerning Sarah Palin seem to fall into broadly two camps. On one side there are those who think Sarah Palin is one of them, an ordinary middle class American who espouses conservative views similar to their own and who, they believe, has brought a refreshing new light and energy into the otherwise stuffy world of politics and they are determined to see that she is elected. On the other side are people who think that she is way out of her depth and who believe that she is unqualified for and incapable of executing this high office and that her character, judgement and performance would sully the position that she is standing for and by connection the pride they have in their country. It appears that these two positions are completely polarised and irreconcilable but I am ever hopeful.

But one thing should be kept clear and that is that this election is not just about the Presidency and Vice-Presidency of the USA, In this gloablised and unipolar world the leader of the free world is in Washington and his or her policies will have profound effects on the whole planet in the years to come. On global economics, on global climate change, on global security not to mention the many problems within the USA itself.

It is for this reason that those who do not support SP possibly feel physically sick at the prospect of her becoming President because in their opinion she is totally clueless on the issues that really matter and that she could make the world a much more dangerous place than it is now. On the other side, her supporters merely seem to think that she will do a great job because of things like "she has great kids", she can "skin a moose" and she “kicked ass” in various situations none of which have anything to do with the important issues at hand. We have yet to hear her actual views on the major issues (the debate was no help here) although if some of her recent interviews are just that, then we know only too well.

The USA should be the ultimate benchmark for good governance throughout the world, otherwise with President Palin in charge, it would be risible that as a nation it should point out to countries such as Zimbabwe, Venezuela and Cuba that they should run their countries like the USA runs theirs. It is this that the supporters of SP do not seem to me to understand and by so doing risk making the USA the laughing stock of the world should SP get elected. The administration over the last 8 years has lost many of its friends around the globe. And now more people fear what the US may do than what countries like Iran may do. For the sake of the USA and its place in the world that must change.

So my forlorn hope is that on November 4th those who currently think that McCain / Palin will be good for themselves first, their country second and the rest of the world third (even if this is thought of at all) may have a crisis of conscience and rethink. This election is way, way too important for anyone to base their vote on trivial banalities. Thanks for reading this far.

    • Current is a huge disappointment. It had such potential, seemed like something new. With comments like these, it's no different than a thousand other typical blogs. It's basically a left-wing wasteland. Seems like a year ago i came here and actually found an idea.

Well if this is such a disappointment to you why dont you contribute something that will make us change our minds - whichever way you think fit. Those that have criticised the behavior of those in Palin land are not bigots or fools. Say something contructive either for or against it and we can all discuss it.

Just carping makes no one any wiser.

This is a cross-section of America my friend. It is not the radical left. This is how good, regular and smart folk around the country think and feel. You had better get with the program and help to improve the working mans plight in America instead of blindly towing the party-line like an unthinking, prejudiced fool. I know these are strong words but these are the words you need to hear. People across our country are sick of these Repuglican dictators who are raping our American resources at every step. If you aren't pissed and speaking out against everything that has been happening to the US since GWB took office then there is something seriously wrong with you. Fix the problem within first.

    • I love how heavily they are focusing on the people who are ALREADY going to vote for them. I wonder if you can see Russia from Palin land... or just a sea of ignorance and denial?

    • did - I doubt she did anything of the sort although I am happy that someone out there still has faith in something (meaning at least you have faith in the good of someone). Im not mocking you at all, please know that. Im just so digusted by the republicans actions that I really have just lost a lot of faith.

And to all the neocons that will challenge us now. 11,000 of you just proved how low and digusting and close minded and bigoted and horrible your party can be. I would love for you to defend that action.

There is a very low person on the board who feels the need to message me privately challenging me. Im tired of it. You challenge me saying people love Palin. Well there are your 11,000 who love her. Horrible people who laugh at the pain of another man. THAT is what you are proud of? Sick. Sick sick sick.

This is a new low. To laugh at a man who LOST his family to tragedy is just disgusting.

I used to shrug off a comment of the person I am seeing when they said they wanted to raise a family outside of the US. I chaulked it up to them loving countries they have lived in or traveled to. Now? With or without them I do not think I could raise a family in a country that woudl publically mock a mans pain like that... who would proudly admit to not knowing any policies and STILL want to run a country... would you accept top position of a family company knowing your inexperience could ruin what your father worked his whole life to build? No? That is what Palin is about to do. McCant/Painlin. They make me sick.

    • I want to feel sorry for her, because you know she has to have gone home and bawled her eyes out. She must! know how ignorant she looks when she speaks false drivel. When she can't answer a question, like a college student frozen before a finals board, doesn't the feeling of doom and shame permeate her being? If she's a halfway normal human being, she must know what a failure she is.

    • This is sickening. The people in the "Palin-land" stadium actually MOCKED Joe Biden for getting choked-up when he allowed himself to honestly reflect on the car crash that killed his family? How very "Christian" of them... yeah, right! These people are selfish and ignorant. Their ideals honor war for the sake of war, and rifles used to trophy-hunt. It's all killing for the sake of killing. Why should we expect them to be sympathetic or empathetic? They're just... pathetic.

    • The way things are going, she will end up like Joyce Meyers or Paula White. Psuedo-Christian weekend long seminars and tours to sell "Sarahphenalia" while spouting what can only be described as "Palinesque" gibberish. In a year or two, "Palinland" will open in Wasilla where the kiddies can ride the dinosaurs...
      ...just like their ancestors did.

    • That stadium is my personal hell. My worst fucking nightmare realized, in technicolor.

That place is a heaven for bigotry, hate, and pent up sexual aggression.

Laughing at a man that lost his wife and raised 2 kids?

WOW. That's conservative christianity for you...
