FEMA sources confirm coming martial law

In addition, Army Corps of Engineer sources report that the assignment of the 3rd Infantry Division’s 1st Brigade Combat Team (BCT) to the Northern Command’s U.S. Army North is to augment FEMA and federal law enforcement in the imposition of traffic controls, crowd control, curfews, enhanced border and port security, and neighborhood patrols in the event a national emergency being declared. The BCT was assigned to duties in Iraq before being assigned to the Northern Command.
On April 3, 2008, WMR reported on a highly-classified document regarding the martial law scenario: WMR has learned from knowledgeable sources within the US financial community that an alarming confidential and limited distribution document is circulating among senior members of Congress and their senior staff members that is warning of a bleak future for the United States if it does not quickly get its financial house in order. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi is among those who have reportedly read the document. The document is being called the "C & R" document because it reportedly states that if the United States defaults on loans and debt underwriting from China, Japan, and Russia, all of which are propping up the United States government financially, and the United States unilaterally cancels the debts, America can expect a war that will have disastrous results for the United States and the world. "Conflict" is the "C word" in the document. The other scenario is that the federal government will be forced to drastically raise taxes in order to pay off debts to foreign countries to the point that the American people will react with a popular revolution against the government. "Revolution" is the document’s "R word.

It's going to hit the poverty stricken areas of America. Which I think out numbers the non poverty stricken areas. That means that the rich are out numbered but the poor have less resources. Rich impose the law. Thumbing down the poor.

Be aware of their plans, but don't buy into fear. Fear is the biggest tool they have. But actual positive thinking will be what prevents this.
I do not believe this is in our timeline.
Meditate on it.

In the event of any of the scenarios many of you have laid out, isn't it the right, no, the duty of the American citizen to fight back against a government which is not looking out for its best interests? Is it not one of the beliefs this country was founded on? Martial Law is not a good thing, but neither is violence and rioting.
If only the rebellion, or revolution, must it happen, occur in the proper ways. But then again what is proper about any of this? This path leads to only one destination, which is Government slowly stripping away our freedoms until we are just as bad (government and freedom wise) as the places we are supposedly fighting to bring democracy to.
Democracy is not what it used to be.........

I hope this isn't true. This is quite a horrifying scenario. All I know for sure is, the revolution will not be televised.

The author of this article, Alex Jones, was responsible for rallying teen anarchists in the "Recreate 68" (recreate the riots of '68) protests of the 2008 conventions. This guy is a conspiracy agitator, and is not helpful to anyone's efforts to effect change in this country. He thrives on ignorance, fear, and violence. There are plenty of actual, well documented incidences of government outrage for us all to get our knickers up in a bunch.

Martial Law has been used in the history of this country before, they dont just lock down every single house in the country. They lockdown areas of unrest.
Considering the corruption of the President I wouldnt be suprised if he has considered this in order to attain his way. However it is unlikely with the mass media these days, internet, possible revolution, also the Congress wouldnt allow it.
Might I also mention, all military swear loyalty to the Constitution, not the President. yes the constitution gives power of the military to Pres, however the COnstitution comes first, so if the Pres does something against the Const. then the military have the lawful right of not following his order.
I highley doubt the mass of the military would go against the people.

You still have faith in the mass media? Interesting.
When it comes to Congress they will always buckle to minimize damage especially if that comes to voting an unpopular bill into law to avoid blood in the streets.
They are just as trapped by the corrupted system.
Yes the military swear to uphold the constitution but they are just following orders. If they choose to not follow orders they also have the right to be shot on sight for disobeying a direct order.
Wouldn't want to be a soldier or a policeman or a politician right now.

No not against all of the people. It will primarily be used in the areas of poverty. That's where they can lock up the undesirables, send them to the newly made prison camps and super-prisons, and give the "free labor for huge corporations" a kick-start.
They have been waiting to initiate this program for years. This is not a conspiracy. This is a fact.

Yeah I dont think its all about radical Alex Jones that are providing the messages. Naomi Wolf just made a post about it.
Heres a Hint. I know it sounds crazy.. but its not impossible to think that its not about having these troops because of the Bailout! Try something like someone assaninating Obama. God forbid.
But with McCains attacks of late. I wouldn't put it past anyone that this is in the works. Just imagine how thier stirring up those JoeSixPacks not to mention others out there dare I say SkinHeadsKKK types? Hello we live in a crazy world and its only going to get Crazier... The top three ways this will happen are Obama dying, McCain cheating his way to victory (and the public being fully aware of it), or the financial situation becoming insanely worse.
All the polls I've seen show Obama clearly ahead and it is being stressed to death that this election is pretty much his. So much so that I am actually starting to wonder if the media is setting it up so the public KNOWS the republicans, if they win, have stole the election, thereby helping insight a riot.
This is probably just paranoia though.

Reports like this from the New York Times
" Economic Unrest Shifts Electoral Battlegrounds
By ADAM NAGOURNEY and JEFF ZELENY
Barack Obama’s ambitious strategy to make incursions into Republican territory is gaining new force, while John McCain is scaling back his efforts to capture Democratic states."
link: http://www.nytimes.com/2008/10/05/us/politics/05map.html?partner=permalink&e...The battle is for your mind. Who to support, who to trust, both appeal to different people and both are abhorred by others. That's at least a three way split right there.
Divide and conquer.

Alex Jones is out there but sometimes everything just fits so well together in his theories that I think he's got many good points and collections of resources, and he's DEFINITELY got only the best intentions for the USA. IMO, he is a true patriot.

I think it will go down like this:
Obama/Biden wins > both assassinated > civil unrest peaks > violence ensues > martial law.
However, there are so many other ways it could happen...it's nothing short of brilliant.

Learning all that I have learned in the past few weeks... I am finding it increasingly difficult to enjoy life. Its like finding out there is a bomb locked in your house, you know its there, but someone else has the key. Sure, I could pick up and run somewhere else. But whats to stop it from happening to my new house?
Basically, I feel helpless, hopeless.

I have a few problems with what's written on that page. If I'm wrong about any of this, please feel free to correct me.
For one, the idea that the President can "suspend the Constitution" seems foolish considering that the President's authority comes from the Constitution. If the President were to suspend the Constitution, he would consequently suspend his own authority.
Also, the argument presented on that page seems to hinge on the idea that a "Presidential Executive Order, whether Constitutional or not, becomes law simply by its publication in the Federal Registry. Congress is by-passed." Executive Orders are directives, not laws; EO's lack any real authority unless supported by Congress. This limit on Presidential authority was upheld in Youngstown Sheet & Tube Co. v. Sawyer:
http://www.law.cornell.edu/supct/html/historics/USSC_CR_0343_0579_ZS.htmlFurthermore, Congress can override EO's by either refusing to fund the directive, by refusing to pass a law to empower the directive, or by passing a law to directly contradict the directive.
Article I, Section 1. “All legislative Powers herein granted shall be vested in a Congress of the United States, which shall consist of a Senate and House of Representatives.”
Finally, the logistics of maintaining effective martial law in this country are just mind-boggling. Coast-to-coast, city-to-city, street-to-street... I don't see where the resources (in the form of funding, man power, political support, etc.) would come from.
As a result, the claims on that page don't seem to have much legitimacy in my mind.

Well stock up on your firearms folks, protect you're 2nd ammendment right while you can. This is not America if we end up under martial law, the institutions that screwed us will not tell us what to do as well. Yes we must rely on state gov't at that point but do you think the Fed with let that happen? I guarantee they would shoot first, cover their ass 2nd, and ask questions 3rd. Its the nature of the gov't and law enforcement, so I do expect the worst.

Yes, if the Federal government goes we'll just have to restructure to a more localized system.
I think the C & R stands for the first and last letters of the word "CocksuckeR", because that is what the people that think along the lines of causing so much damage that it causes a revolution or the need for martial law are.
I really don't see martial law working in the US because it goes against everything this country was founded on.
Troops would just as easily defect from defending the more-evil/corrupt Federal government to defend their friends and neighbors against it's abuses if push really came to shove.
At least the document is warning the people in charge of policy making of danger if they don't get their shit together, so maybe that will get some more sustainable and effective solutions passed.

The troops will follow orders as they are even more in-the-dark than the general population.
The people need to get together to support one another and their neighborhoods. Not with guns and violence but with honest intent to help. Rioting or fighting each other will be their excuse to deploy.
Stay calm, stay focused and above all don't break any law.

If the federal government collapses... we simply need to work with our state governments to survive. Do not be fooled into chaos if things go end-up. Start NOW and get to know your State Government and your state resources. Get to know your state leadership. There's no reason that if the Federal Government collapses we would need to lose our entire country...

There goes AJ again, pumping up that fear every chance he gets.
Funny how Quigley called this out in his book on the oligarchs' plans, saying:
The current strategy of the Establishment is to create revolution, violence and extremely serious social dislocation at the bottom while creating an ever-increasing pressure at the top for monolithic powers by demanding that the executive branch
of the Federal government be given massive power to
"solve" all these problems. - 3 years ago
