This is a false rumor. I'm not a Palin fan by any means, and agree that she is a dummy. But an IQ of 83 would mean she is in the mentally retarded range. With that kind of IQ, we would be seeing a LOT more evidence of basic difficulties -- she'd NEVER have been able to fake her way through that debate, for instance. And for a person to have such a low IQ, she'd never have been able to score so "high" on the SAT. She's not fit for the office she seeks, but she's not mentally retarded.

As far as her GPA and SAT score that was obvious... any time it takes about 6 years and 5 colleges to get a 4 year degree it is obvious that we are not talking about a serious student...

and yes her family had to have the money to support that sort of continued failure because many financial aid programs require students to get passing grades and only support you for the standard 8 semesters or 4 years
